Gazing At The Crimson Yonder Mundane Astrology Series— The 2023 Forecasts/Predictions for the World, the USA, and the Philippines Part 2

Humanity has witnessed a whirlwind of events in the last seven months. While the world appears to be in disarray, the events unfolding is imperative to awaken humanity to achieve progress. The events in the coming months are extreme; something that humanity may have not seen in the previous decades (and even centuries). As we enter the second segment of 2023, the crimson-colored yonder intensifies with the world events heating-up, even more. The ‘cat coming out of the bag’ continues to be the theme; hence, events in the upcoming months are volatile and explosive.

Here, we will explore the implications of the 2023 Cancer ingress and Libra ingress. Please know that the Cancer ingress is supplementary for the Philippines and the USA because the 2023 Aries ingress charts are still in effect. There will be another forecast for the Philippines and the USA for the 2023 Libra ingress. Included in this forecast is a review of the effects of the lunar eclipse in Scorpio. We also look back into the portent of the applicable previous solar eclipses. There will also be an illustration of the timeline of the effects of the applicable eclipses.

I will divide it into the Global interpretation, the Philippine-specific, and the US-specific interpretation. Please note the forecast contains astrology-related concepts, so I suggest reading only the forecast, which is in bold and italics. If you are from the Philippines and the USA, I suggest reading the Global Interpretation first to get a better picture. As the world’s current hegemony, the events shaping up in the USA are critical because they will cascade into world events. Hence, I also suggest paying attention to it.

The Dance Of The Double-Edged Rapier: The 2023 Cancer Ingress

For countries with cardinal sign rising for the Aries ingress chart, it is imperative to cast another chart for the Sun’s entry in the Cancer world-point. The Cancer ingress chart serves as a complementary tool that helps us see issues that were not discussed in the previous ingresses. For the USA and the Philippines, the 2023 Aries ingress is valid until September 22/23, 2023. You can review the forecast here. Figure 1 below shows the Cancer ingress chart of Manila, Philippines (swipe right), and Washington, D.C., United States of America (swipe left).

Figure 1. The 2023 Cancer Ingress for the Philippines and the United States of America.

The Global Interpretation Of The Ingress

As always, we will direct our attention on the planets the Sun and the Moon will apply to. We again begin with the Moon and see it waxing in the fixed, fiery, bestial, and temperamental sign of Leo. She is in the domicile of the Sun. It’s dispositor, the Sun, being in Cancer, is in generosity with the Moon. The Sun also rules the Moon as the daytime triplicity ruler, while Jupiter takes the helm as the nocturnal triplicity ruler. From the significations above, we expect the populace predisposed and/or exposed to anger, recklessness, and violence; however, people could also display courage, a sense of justice, and initiative. The attention of the populace is on the actions of their leaders and events surrounding eminent/prominent figures.

We look back at the planets she has separated from and evaluate the planets she will apply to understand comprehensively the significations she carries and will bring to the fore. The planet the Moon has separated from is Jupiter in Taurus upon the Sun’s ingress in Cancer. Venus in Leo, Mercury in Gemini, Mars in Leo, and Uranus in Taurus are the planets the Moon will apply to.

Our attention is on Jupiter, as the last planet the Moon has separated from and he is in Taurus. In this sign, Jupiter is peregrine and, in a sign contrary to his nature; with Jupiter, a hot and wet planet, and Taurus, a cold and dry sign. Venus and the Moon are its rulers. He is accidentally strong because he is direct, oriental (rising before the Sun), and fast. Jupiter [1] has rulership over the economies and banks (but also global financial markets), the courts, and legal counsel. He also rules religion and the religious people. With it as the last planet the Moon has applied to, suggests the attention of the populace is on those listed significations of Jupiter. Jupiter in the domicile of Venus suggests the economic conditions for the period will depend on peace and diplomatic resolutions. The Moon is Jupiter’s exaltation ruler, and we see Jupiter has just separated from Saturn in Pisces. With that, the economic situation during the period will impose its effects on the populace. There could be concerns about financial security, the real estate industry, agriculture (especially the meat industry), and subterranean resources (such as oil, coal, and precious metals). People are also in tune with the outcomes of national and global inquests, as this period could also give rise to an abundance of legal disputes.

Here, we will look at the planets will apply to. The Moon will apply to Venus, and she will translate Jupiter’s light. Venus is occidental, in the fixed, fiery, bestial, and temperamental sign of Leo. The Moon carrying and translating Jupiter’s light portends the economic conditions will also set the pace for the peace and diplomatic resolutions. Since these planets enclose the Moon, the populace will feel immensely and see the outcomes of these economic and diplomatic decisions. With the Moon and Venus in the Sun’s domicile, there could be inquests involving prominent women, entertainment figures, and puts the spotlight on the sex and gender-related issues.

Mercury recently separated from Venus; however, the Moon will reconnect them through the sextile aspect. Peace, order, and diplomatic resolutions will also influence trade and commerce. With Mercury in a double-bodied and humane (social, vocal, and rational) sign and the Moon in a fiery and temperamental sign, we could see massive protests and rallies (i.e., could turn violent as the Moon will apply to Mars after Mercury) involving human rights, sex and gender-related issues, and the outcomes of inquests (since the Moon also carries Jupiter’s light).

While Venus and Mars are a few degrees away from each other, the conjunction between these planets will not happen in Leo, as Venus slows down to station retrograde. What this augurs is setbacks in peace and diplomatic resolutions.

Venus, and soon the Moon, will square Uranus in Taurus. It is also worth mentioning that the Moon is in antiscia with Uranus in Taurus. This challenging configuration could augur disruptions and crisis involving peace, order, diplomatic resolutions, women’s rights, fertility, and birth rate, reproductive health, children’s health, and welfare. Once more, we could see and hear news of the demise and/or scandals of entertainment and sports figures.

Since we have already discussed the Moon’s application to Mercury, our focus is now on Mars. As mentioned earlier, protests could turn violent with the Moon separating from Mercury (in a vocal sign) and translating its light to Mars in Leo, a fiery and temperamental sign. There could be harm to the populace from road and transportation accidents, violence, heat (and extreme weather), fires, explosions, and eruptions. We may also see and hear news of increased military activity involving the airspace and projectile weaponries. In astrometeorology, there could be a potential for extreme droughts with Mercury (the natural significator of the winds), oriental, in a barren masculine sign, and with an added heat to it (as it is about to be under the Sun’s beams) applying to Mars, a hot and dry planet, in a barren and hot sign, but with an added coldness as it is occidental. In some parts of the globe, the coldness Mars gains from being occidental may portend as violent and deadly storms.

Mars applies to a square with Uranus, where there is a negative reception with Uranus in the sign of Mars’ detriment. In a few degrees, Mars will apply in an antiscia with Jupiter (also in the sign where Mars is in detriment). The combined interpretation suggests extreme volatility, where there could be massive shakings, eruptions, and explosive events (could be literal or figurative). Mars’ antiscia to Jupiter with negative reception portends daunting issues in the financial markets (including the crypto markets), banking system, and the global economies. With the Moon in antiscia with Uranus, the populace could be in danger from the aforementioned obscured events. Uranus exalting the Moon may augur panic among the populace.

We will now look at the Sun to see the concerns and performance of the leaders for the period covered by the ingress. With the Sun in Cancer, the Moon and Jupiter rule him. The planets the Sun will apply to are retrograde Saturn in Pisces, Jupiter in Taurus, Uranus in Taurus, Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. With the Sun in the domicile of the Moon, the attention of the leaders is on the concerns and welfare of the populace. With it in the exaltation of Jupiter highlights their concerns and actions involving the economy and the banking industry.

The Sun will apply a harmonious trine to the retrograde Saturn, but this has a negative reception where the Sun is in the sign of Saturn’s detriment. What this means is leaders may easily implement ineffective or harmful policies involving the commodities under Saturn’s rulership (precious metals, oil, coal, real estate, and agriculture). Alternatively, leaders may experience troubles in dealing with the aforementioned Saturnian significations. Perhaps world leaders may face a lot of constraints that limit them in implementing the needed actions. Saturn, as the natural ruler of death, portends that we may hear news of scandals and/or the demise of eminent figures.

The Sun carries and will translate Saturn’s light as it applies a sextile to Jupiter. Errors in financial policies may magnify affecting the global economy, the financial markets, and the banking industry. The effects of the policies may stir panic in the populace with the Sun translating Jupiter’s light to Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto .

The General Temperament Of The Ingress

The table below shows the temperament of the Cancer ingress involving the seven classical planets in Astrology. It will give a rough estimate of the collective psyche and a general impression of the climate for the period.

Planet/TemperamentHotDryColdWet
Oriental Saturn in Pisces RetrogradeXXXXX
Oriental Jupiter in TaurusXXXXX
Occidental Mars in LeoXXXXX
The Sun in CancerXXXX
Oriental Mercury in GeminiXXXXX
Occidental Venus in LeoXXXXX
Waxing Moon in Leo (First Quarter)XXXXX
Total9988

Hot predominates with dry and moist, suggesting that the people’s temperaments for the period are sanguine and choleric. This could be a period where the people’s mood is volatile.

The general impression of the climate we get for this period is extremely hot, dry, and wet. The qualities of hot, dry, and moist suggest that while the climate could be hotter than average, there could be problems with extreme drought and/or inundation. Mercury, the natural significator of the winds, oriental, under the Sun’s beams, and, in an air sign, portends very hot and desiccating winds. There remains the extreme risk for fire and explosions.

The lunar mansion of the planets determines the level of moisture and its fortunateness. We will see in the following table the Arabic Lunar Mansion containing the planets.

Planet/Lunar Mansion in Arabic [2]Moisture and Fortune [3]
Oriental Saturn in Pisces Retrograde: Al Sa’d al AhbiyaDry-Middling
Oriental Jupiter in Taurus: Al-SharatainTemperate-Middling
Occidental Mars in Leo: Al ZubrahTemperate-Lucky
The Sun in Cancer: Al-Haq’ahDry-Unlucky
Occidental Venus in Leo: Al-NathrahTemperate-Middling
Oriental Mercury in Gemini: Al-DabaranVery Moist-Unlucky
Waxing Moon in Leo (First Quarter): Al-NathrahTemperate-Middling

Looking at the Arabic Mansions, we see the predominance of the Temperate followed by Dry suggesting the potential for moderate levels of precipitation during the entire duration of the Cancer ingress. It also supports the testimony of hot and wet and dry in the previous table. The weather or other events bring mixed fortunes. On a side note, Mercury, the natural significator of the winds, in a barren, double-bodied, hot, and wet sign but also in a planetary phase where it brings heat, could show hot winds bringing in moisture but also dryness.

The Epicenter Of The Effects Of The May 2023 Lunar Eclipse In Scorpio

The orb of the intensity of the effects of the lunar eclipse in Scorpio will happen in the middle of the 2023 Cancer Ingress. You can read the full interpretation here for the Philippines, the USA, and the astrocartography.

Our attention is on the essential dignities of the luminaries and sees the Sun is peregrine in Taurus and the Moon in the sign of her fall. Next, we look into the lord of the luminaries. Venus, the ruler of the Sun, is in Gemini, Mercury’s diurnal domicile. It is noteworthy that Venus and Mercury are in generosity (mutual reception without the aspect) because Mercury is in the domicile of Venus and Venus is in the domicile of Mercury. Looking at the Moon, we see she is in mutual reception by rulership with Mars. With that, Mars and the Moon have final rulership over the eclipse.

The first impression we get from these receptions is two fallen entities helping each other. Alternatively, we could see the alliance of the two extremely disgruntled and desperate figures. Mars naturally signifies the military and law enforcement personnel while the Moon naturally signifies the populace, and their essential condition shows dissatisfaction. From their mutual reception, we could see events where the military and other law enforcement personnel will come to the populace’s aid in pursuit of an agenda. As mentioned in the solar eclipse section, there could be regime changes and there could be protests involving the military which could lead to its fruition. Moreso, the testimony from the essential debilities alone suggests the period covered by this eclipse is dangerous. With the lunar eclipse almost similar in terms of the essential condition of its rulers relative to the solar eclipse, we can say that we get a glimpse of what the solar eclipse will bring to the forefront in the following months. With the Moon separating from the retrograde Mercury and the luminaries aspecting Mars (if we first look at the seven classical planets), we could see the populace’s violent reaction to disclosures, resulting in immense social unrest. Perhaps we could see events involving a massive military and/or law enforcement mobilization. Water-related calamities are likely.

Our attention will now be on the closest planets to the lunar eclipse to judge which planet holds the key. In the chart, we see retrograde Mercury in Taurus (in generosity with Venus which is conjunct with the fixed star Betelgeuse), Uranus in Taurus (collects the light of the luminaries and Mars), and Mars in Cancer are the three planets the Moon and the Sun are closest to and they are the key planets in this eclipse. The eclipse portends extreme volatility (in the economy and diplomatic relations) and augurs extreme earthquake and eruption/explosion risks. It is noteworthy that there could be important revelations with the combust Mercury retrograde separating from the Sun and Mars in the exaltation of Jupiter. Once more, this disclosure could rouse the public into a violent rage. With Mars as the ruler of the eclipse and powerful, this eclipse can be severely disruptive and destructive.

According to timeanddate.com [4], the entire duration of the eclipse is 4 hours and 18 minutes. We now look at how long the effects of this eclipse last using Guido Bonatti’s method [5]. Guido Bonatti states every hour is equivalent to one month, while every two minutes is equal to one day. Here, we get 4 months and 9 days, or 132 calendar days, for the lastingness of this lunar eclipse’s effects. Figure 8 shows the schematic diagram estimating the duration of the effects of the eclipse across a timeline [6].

Figure 2. The Schematic Diagram Showing The Duration of Effects of the May 2023 Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio.

Now, we will identify the epicenter date where we will feel intensely the effects of the eclipse. Dividing 132 by 2, we get 66 calendar days status post the lunar eclipse. The epicenter date or the eye of the eclipse is on July 11, 2023, and when we consider 31 days prior to the midpoint and 30 days after, we get June 10, 2023, to August 11, 2023, as the months to look out for. The effects of this eclipse will probably end by September 15, 2023. However, July 2023 is the month to watch out for.

The Swinging Of The Harvest Scythe: The 2023 Libra Ingress

The events of the Cancer ingress could set the precedent for the Libra ingress. We will also look at the eclipses in Libra and Taurus. For the Philippines and the USA, there will be another forecast. Figure 3 below shows the Libra Ingress chart. I set the chart in the Philippines’ capital, Manila (swipe right), and Washington, DC (swipe left).

Figure 3. The 2023 Libra Ingress for the Philippines and the United States of America.

The Global Interpretation Of The Ingress

We attribute the condition of the people to the status of the Moon. The Moon is waxing in the earthy, cardinal, four-legged, and domesticated sign of Capricorn. She is in the sign of her detriment. Its domicile lord is Saturn and is in the exaltation of Mars. It searches for counsel to Venus in the daytime as its triplicity ruler and gains the essential dignity at nighttime. The Moon’s essential condition augurs an uncomfortable period for the populace. Saturn’s influence suggests the populace is serious, careful, and practical; perhaps there is a predisposition to apathy and depressive thoughts. Mars, as its exaltation ruler, portends they can also be cunning and determined as needed. We will look first into the planets she has separated from and the planets she will apply to.

We see the Moon has separated from a sextile with its domicile ruler, Saturn, in Pisces. With Saturn as the last planet the Moon has separated from, the populace is paying attention to its significations. Saturn rules the real estate industry, agriculture, subterranean resources (such as oil, coal, and precious metals), pandemics, and the global mortality. In Pisces, he is peregrine, but he has dignity by face. Saturn retrograding portends the populace will encounter setbacks and worries from the aforementioned significations. Jupiter and Venus are its rulers and we will look at these planets to see further what Saturn brings to the fore.

Jupiter is retrograde in Taurus with Venus and the Moon ruling him. Jupiter ruling Saturn suggests the condition of the economies and banks (but also global financial markets), results of inquests, and court decisions will influence the commodities Saturn rules. It is noteworthy that Mercury in Virgo (i.e., in its domicile and exaltation) and soon the Moon (in Capricorn and in its detriment) will hurl their harmful rays to Jupiter from the sign of his detriment and fall, respectively. Jupiter negatively receiving Mercury portends the economic conditions, the status of the financial markets, the activities of the banks, and fiscal policies may augur issues and disruptions in trade, commerce, communication, and transportation. This could manifest as problems in the funding of many businesses and issues in their transactions. Mercury harming Jupiter and the contra-antiscia between the debilitated Mars in Libra and the exalted Mercury in Virgo may augur a critical supply chain, technological, and transportation disruptions affecting the economy, financial markets, and the banking system. Inflation may worsen but with it also comes the possibility of deflation (with the Moon translating Jupiter’s light to Mars – Jupiter is in Mars’ detriment in Taurus). Although the Moon will also apply to Jupiter by a harmonious aspect, Jupiter here hates the Moon because she is in the sign of his fall. Retrograde Jupiter exalting the Moon (i.e., Jupiter is very interested in the Moon’s resource) and the adverse reception between the Moon and Jupiter may augur restrictions on the populace’s access to cash and we may see further interest rate hikes. In earthy signs, this could portend severe issues in commercial real estate (with a lot of foreclosure) and agriculture. Perhaps the Moon harming Jupiter suggests we see massive sell offs (in the real estate and financial markets) and/or the populace may pull out money from their accounts, leading once more to a liquidity or solvency crisis. We may hear once more of problems involving the banking industry and financial markets.

Venus is the exaltation ruler and almuten of Saturn; it is also Jupiter’s domicile ruler. Venus is in generosity with the Sun – Venus is in the Sun’s domicile while the Sun is in Venus’ domicile without the applying aspect. Hence, Venus and the Sun will strongly influence the affairs Saturn rules. With Venus in Saturn’s detriment, peace, order, government regulations, and diplomatic resolutions will negatively affect the commodities under Saturn’s rulership such as the commercial real estate, the agriculture industry, precious metals, oil, and coal. The Sun, as Venus’ dispositor, in Saturn’s exaltation, may augur a sharp rise in the price of the aforementioned commodities. Jupiter under Venus’ power suggests peace, order, and diplomatic resolutions will affect the global economy, the banking industry, and the financial markets.

Similar to the Cancer ingress, the application of Venus to retrograde Uranus in Taurus could augur disruptions and crisis involving peace, order, diplomatic resolutions, women’s rights, fertility, and birth rate, reproductive health, children’s health, and welfare. Once more, we could see and hear news of the demise and/or scandals of entertainment and sports figures.

The next planet the Moon will apply to is Mercury, with a trine configuration. Here, she carries and translates Saturn’s light to Mercury, reconnecting their opposition once more. Albeit a harmonious aspect, this configuration suggests many serious problems (i.e., Saturn and Mercury in double-bodied signs), with the Moon itself is in the sign of her detriment and with her carrying Saturn’s light from Pisces, where Mercury suffers extreme essential debility. The re-activation of the opposition between Saturn and Mercury (with negative reception) by the Moon’s translation and the contra-antiscia of Mercury and Mars may portend troubles in the matters associated with trade, commerce, communications, travel, and technology companiesIt can also show disruptions in technology and communication systems. There is also a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents and the risks of fire and explosions/eruptions. Mercury and Mars in humane (vocal, social, and rational) signs suggests we will see and hear a lot of disputes, protests, rallies, and rise in violent crimes. We may see and hear news involving projectile weaponry and disputes involving the air space.

In astrometeorology, Mercury’s contra-antiscia with Mars and its trine aspect to Jupiter portends massive storms and destructive winds. There may be swings between extremes in the temperature, level of moisture, and force of winds – Mercury (a cold and dry planet), in a double-bodied, cold, dry, and barren sign but with added heat as it is oriental; Jupiter (a hot and wet planet) is in a fixed, cold, dry, and temperate sign but with an added heat as it is oriental and retrograde; Mars (a hot and dry planet) is in a movable, hot, and wet sign but with an added coldness as it is occidental and heliacally setting. It also augurs an extreme risk of destructive earthquakes and explosive volcanic eruptions.

After Mercury and Jupiter, the Moon will enter a tough enclosure by Mars and all the outer planets. We begin with Mars and he is in the sign of his detriment in the humane (vocal, social, and rational) and airy sign of Libra. Venus and Saturn rule him. Mars receives the Moon in the sign of his exaltation. With the Moon exalting Mars, the attention of the populace is also on the activities of the law enforcement and military. The public may desire a decisive action from those mentioned personnel. Considering Mars’ essential debility, we may see the law enforcement and/or the military not living up to the populace’s expectations. Perhaps there are actions that will surprise the public. It is noteworthy that the Moon will translate Mercury and Jupiter’s light to Mars. What this may bring are rallies and protests that could turn violent because of issues on human rights, the economic conditions, and results of inquests. There may be harm to the populace from crimes, violence, war, fires, explosions, eruptions, and other natural calamities. While there is a reception from Mars, its essential debility may still augur a significant harm from the listed significations.

While Mars and Uranus are in aversion, the Moon will connect them. Their linking portends extreme volatility, destructive earthquakes, and other natural disasters. There could also be important revelations with the Moon translating retrograde Uranus’ light to retrograde Neptune in Pisces and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. Issues and scandals involving oil, substance abuse, and in the pharmaceutical industry continue to be exposed. Concerns about the effects of extreme (right and left) ideologies will still be prominent for everyone to see and experience. The conjunction of the Moon with Pluto in Capricorn portends dangers and a rise in the global mortality rate.

The General Temperament Of The Ingress

The table below shows the temperament of the Libra ingress involving the seven classical planets in Astrology. It will give a rough estimate of the collective psyche and a general impression of the climate for the period.

Planet/TemperamentHotDryColdWet
Occidental Saturn in Pisces RetrogradeXXXXX
Oriental Jupiter in Taurus RetrogradeXXXXX
Occidental Mars in LibraXXXXX
The Sun in LibraXXXX
Oriental Venus in LeoXXXXX
Oriental Mercury in VirgoXXXXX
Waxing Moon in Capricorn (Second Quarter)XXXXX
Total91195

Hot and cold paired with dry suggests choleric and melancholic temperaments. This could be a period where the people can either be apathetic or prone to violent outbursts.

The general impression of the climate we get for this period is exceedingly dry, but with temperatures swinging between hot and cold. Perhaps the average temperature for the period is temperate. The excess dryness suggests extreme drought. Mercury, the natural significator of the winds, oriental, in a double-bodied, cold, dry, and barren sign, portends desiccating winds.

Occidental Saturn in Pisces Retrograde: Al Sa’d al Su’udTemperate-Moist; Middling.
Oriental Jupiter in Taurus Retrograde: Al-SharatainTemperate-Middling
Occidental Mars in Libra: Al-AwwaTemperate-Lucky
The Sun in Libra: Al-AwwaTemperate-Lucky
Oriental Venus in Leo: Al-TarfDry-Unfortunate
Oriental Mercury in Virgo: Al ZubrahTemperate-Lucky
Waxing Moon in Capricorn (Second Quarter): Al ShaulahMoist-Unfortunate

Looking at the Arabic Mansions, we see the predominance of the Temperate suggesting the potential for moderate levels of precipitation during the entire duration of the Libra ingress. The temperateness we see in this table reflected on the balance of hot and cold as seen in the previous matrix. On a side note, Mercury, the natural significator of the winds, in a barren, double-bodied, cold, and dry sign but also in a planetary phase where it brings heat, could show dry winds that could be hot or cold.

Passaging The Amaranthine Valley: The October 2023 Libra-Taurus Eclipse

The October 2023 Libra-Taurus Eclipses continue to be transitory as this will officially end the Taurus-Scorpio axis eclipse. While that is the case, the Venusian and Martial themes remain, as both planets rule the signs of Libra and Aries. Figure 4 shows the Solar Eclipse in Libra chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).

Figure 4. The October 2023 Solar Eclipse in Aries chart for the Philippines and the United States of America.

We will look at the luminaries and see that Venus in Virgo rules the Sun and Moon, where there is generosity by rulership (mutual reception without the applying aspect) between Venus and Mercury. It is noteworthy that Saturn also has rulership over the eclipse because it is Libra’s exaltation ruler; with the eclipse also in Saturn’s exaltation degree. With Venus and Mercury ruling and in the humane (vocal, social, and rational) signs, the effect of this eclipse concerns the populace and their rights, peace, order, diplomatic resolutions, information sources (mainstream media and social media), tech companies, transportation, trade, commerce, and the extremes in weather.

The eclipse also augurs life-threatening dangers for the populace, especially with the eclipse in the burnt path, the Moon combust, in Saturn’s exaltation, and the Sun negatively receiving the Moon in the sign of his fall.

With Venus fallen in an earthy, barren, humane (vocal, social, and rational), and double-bodied sign, we could see challenges in reaching diplomatic resolutions, issues on women and children’s rights and welfare, gender-related disputes, the declining birth rate, and problems in agriculture because of drought and extreme weather events. The essential condition of Venus and its contra-antiscia with the South Node in Libra is unfavorable for the entertainment and sports industry, where we may see the demise and/or scandals of the industry’s prominent people. It is noteworthy that the eclipse’s ruler’s presence in a dry lunar mansion, Al-Tarf, is another testimony for the risk of severe drought resulting in problems in agriculture.

It is imperative to assess Saturn because it is the eclipse’s exaltation ruler and as the eclipses’ almuten for those with nations who have diurnal eclipse charts. Since the Sun is in its fall and Saturn has rulership over the eclipse, we could see the demise and/or exposure of scandals involving eminent figures. Similar to the April Solar Eclipse in Aries, we could see regime changes in many nations. The eclipsed luminaries exalting Saturn portends a continued rise in the global mortality rate and the rise in the price of the commodities that Saturn rules (agricultural products, commercial real estate, oil, coal, and precious metals).

Our attention will now be on the closest planets to the solar eclipse to judge which planet holds the key. In the chart, we see Mercury and Pluto as the closest planets. Mercury naturally rules the trade, commerce, transportation, media, and other information sources. With it as closest to the eclipse, we may see and hear of important revelations and events involving the airspace. With it combust, there is a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents. The mainstream media and social media continue to be in deep trouble and may undergo significant changes. It may also augur extreme weather related and man-made calamities.

Pluto is also the closest planet to the eclipse. Pluto naturally rules the deep state, espionage, cryptocurrency, the subterranean resources or hidden resources, the nuclear technology, weapons of mass destruction, and is the modern significator of death. With the Moon translating Mercury and the Sun’s light to Pluto, we may once more hear and see news of issues involving the cryptocurrency and exposure of scandals involving eminent figures. This is another testimony showing the demise of high-profile personnel.

Please know that the entire duration of the eclipse is 5 hours and 51 minutes [7], so we will feel the effects of this eclipse in 5 years, 10 months, and 6 days. Figure 6 shows the schematic diagram estimating the duration of the effects of the eclipse across a timeline [6].

Figure 5. The Schematic Diagram Showing The Duration of Effects of the October 2023 Solar Eclipse in Libra.

We will probably feel the effects intensely from September 2025 to September 2027, with special attention to September 2026. It will probably end in August 2028.

A Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus occurs on October 29, 2023. Figure 6 shows the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).

Figure 6. The October 2023 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus chart for the Philippines and the United States of America.

Our attention is on the essential dignities of the luminaries and sees the Sun is peregrine in Scorpio and the Moon in the sign of her exaltation. Next, we look into the lord of the luminaries. Mars, the ruler of the Sun, is in his domicile and term in Scorpio. Looking at the Moon, she is in her exaltation and nocturnal triplicity. It is noteworthy that the Moon is Taurus’ almuten, so she has a prominent influence in this eclipse. Venus, the ruler of the Moon, is in its fall in Virgo. Venus’ ruler, Mercury, is in Scorpio. Hence, Mars has the final rulership over the eclipse.

Venus, as the eclipse ruler, in its fall and in the earthy, barren, humane (vocal, social, and rational), and double-bodied sign, portends the spotlight is also on the challenges in reaching diplomatic resolutions, issues on women and children’s rights and welfare, gender-related disputes, and the declining birth rate. The eclipse also is unfavorable for the beauty, entertainment, and sports industry, where we will still see and hear news of scandals and the demise of prominent figures.

Martial significations become prominent with it as this eclipse’s final dispositor. It is also noteworthy that Mars is in Venus’ sign of detriment and the Moon’s fall. From that, the challenges the fallen Venus portends will even be more prominent. Mars, in this mute and fertile sign (of many children) augurs disruptions and disputes involving the welfare of the populace, especially that of the women, reproductive health, fertility rate, and children. Escalating foreign diplomatic problems remains a concern with Mars in Venus’ sign of detriment.

Mars, powerful in his nocturnal domicile, suggests covert maritime disputes (may involve submarines) and massive mobilization of the military and law enforcement (with the opposition to Jupiter). Mercury combust and conjunct Mars augurs a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents (especially involving boats, shipping, and fishing vessels), the extreme risk for fires and eruptions/explosions, and the potentially severe disruption of the supply chain. The maritime disputes mentioned earlier may involve projectile weaponry. Mercury, the natural significator of the wind, and Mars’ rulership bring pestilential winds, destructive floods, and waves. This continues to be an uncomfortable period for the populace. The opposition between Mercury-Mars and Jupiter with negative reception may bring extreme events in the trade, commerce, banking industry, and the financial markets (including the cryptocurrency markets); this may bring to fruition the possibility of deflation or extreme market corrections as augured by the 2023 Libra Ingress.

Our attention will now be on the closest planets to the Lunar Eclipse to judge which planet holds the key. In the chart, we see retrograde Saturn in Pisces, Mercury in Scorpio, retrograde Jupiter in Taurus, and Mars in Scorpio as the four planets the Moon and the Sun are closest to and they are the key planets in this eclipse. The eclipse portends extreme volatility (in the economy, financial markets, banking, and diplomatic relations) and augurs extreme earthquake and eruption/explosion risks. We will probably see a higher global mortality rate with Saturn’s involvement. Please also see the other listed Saturnian significations in the General Interpretation of the Libra Ingress section as part of this eclipse’s effects. With Mars as the ruler of the eclipse and powerful, this eclipse can be severely disruptive.

According to timeanddate.com [8], the entire duration of the eclipse is 4 hours and 25 minutes. We now look at how long the effects of this eclipse last using Guido Bonatti’s method [5]. Guido Bonatti states every hour is equivalent to one month, while every two minutes is equal to one day. Here, we get 4 months and 13 days, or 134 calendar days, for the lastingness of this lunar eclipse’s effects. Figure 7 shows the schematic diagram estimating the duration of the effects of the eclipse across a timeline [9].

Figure 7. The Schematic Diagram Showing The Duration of Effects and Path of the October 2023 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus.

Now, we will identify the epicenter date where we will feel intensely the effects of the eclipse. Dividing 134 by 2, we get 67 calendar days status post the lunar eclipse. The epicenter date or the eye of the eclipse is on January 4, 2024, and when we consider 31 days prior to the midpoint and 30 days after, we get December 4, 2023, to February 5, 2024, as the months to look out for. The effects of this eclipse will probably end by March 13, 2024. However, January 2024 is the month to watch out for.

The 2023 Libra Ingress For The Philippines & For The USA

As mentioned earlier, the Aries ingress chart for the Philippines and the USA is only valid until September, so there is a need to cast a chart for the Libra ingress. These charts are valid until March 20, 2024. For quick reference, here are the Libra ingress charts of the Philippines and the USA.

The Concerns & the Well-being of the Populace

In interpreting the ingress chart, we begin by checking on the status of the populace. To see how the citizens of the countries will do, we will look at three testimonies. The first testimony will be the condition of the Moon, and its Lord as the natural significators, the Ascendant and its Lord as the accidental significators, and the planets in the Ascendant as co-significators.

For the Philippines, we see the debilitated Moon in the twelfth house, suggesting the people’s attention is on the challenging circumstances they face and the hidden enemies of the state. Perhaps this period may portend a lot of limitations, tribulations, grief, and losses. Saturn is the last of the classical planets the Moon has separated from and his significations are what the populace is paying attention to. Saturn ruling the Ascendant and in the Ascendant suggests the populace’s concern for their own welfare. As the ruler of the twelfth house, the populace’s concerns for the hardships they face and their bleak outlook for the country’s future. Perhaps the public may focus on what Saturn naturally signifies, and these may be the inflated prices of food, gasoline, utilities (especially electricity and water), and that involves the commercial real estate. It is noteworthy that the debilitated Moon also rules the sixth house and her last aspect with Saturn has reception, suggesting the populace’s concerns about the lack of or limited employment opportunities, chronic (or deadly) illnesses, the activities of the military and law enforcement, and the state of the country’s healthcare and its professionals.

With Saturn peregrine in Pisces, we will look at further testimonies from its dispositors: Jupiter and Venus. Please note that the Moon will also apply to Jupiter, so the interpretation covers that. Jupiter (the ruler of the second house and the eleventh house) in the fourth house suggests the attention of the populace is on the homeland security issues and the impact of natural calamities as it relates to the country’s economy and their personal finances. They also look up to the legislation and cabinet members regarding their decisions and resolutions about homeland security issues, problems in agriculture, the mining industry, and the country’s disaster-response/preparedness. Jupiter negatively receiving the Moon portends the economic conditions on the period covered by the Libra ingress is unfavorable for the populace. Alternatively, the perception of the populace on the economic conditions of the nation and the actions they will undertake may harm the banks and the financial markets. Venus, as the ruler of the fourth house and the ninth house, in the seventh house, shows the populace’s worries about the country’s diplomatic relations and policies that may affect homeland security. With Venus in Saturn’s detriment, these policies are crucial, as it may put the public at risk. Alternatively, there could be very dangerous calamities in the period covered by the Libra ingress with the ruler of the fourth house, angular.

Here, our attention is on the planets the Moon will apply to. The Moon will apply to the exalted Mercury in Virgo. While it is a trine aspect, the debilitated Moon in the twelfth house will translate Saturn’s light from the sign where Mercury suffers its fall and detriment. The re-connection of the opposition with Saturn and the negative reception portends harm from Saturn and Mercury’s natural and accidental significations. There will be disruptions and disputes involving transportation, communication, and may portend serious issues in banking, trade, and commerce. With Mercury as the ruler of the fifth, there will be concerns over the children’s health and welfare and the declining birth rate. Gender-related disputes may show up. As the eighth house ruler, issues and disputes on the country’s debts, taxes, and the extreme volatility in the financial markets. The public is at risk for road and transportation accidents and the nation will see excessive mortality. It is still unfavorable for the beauty, sports, and entertainment industry.

After Jupiter, the Moon will apply to Mars by a square aspect. In Libra, Mars is in the sign of his detriment, where Venus and Saturn rule him. With the Libra ingress chart, a daytime chart, Saturn takes the helm as its ruler because it is the almuten of Mars. Mars rules the third house and the tenth house in the ingress chart.

The Moon in Mars’ exaltation suggests the attention of the populace is on the country’s leaders and military/law enforcement personnel. In addition, there are also worries about the escalating disputes between the neighboring countries and the actions of the government in relation to these concerns. It supports the testimony of a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents, communication/technological malfunctions, and travel disruptions, especially that the debilitated Moon in the twelfth house translates debilitated Mars’ light to Uranus from the ninth house and the contra-antiscia between Mars and Mercury.

As mentioned earlier, the Moon links Mars and Uranus. With the contra-antiscia of Mercury and Mars and the retrograde Uranus on the fourth house cusp, there are extreme dangers arising from mega-quakes, eruptions, explosions, and other destructive natural calamities. The Moon translating the light of Uranus to Neptune portends the populace’s disillusionment and the risk of water-related calamities. The aspect with Pluto is another testimony of the excessive deaths.

Looking at the USA’s Libra ingress chart, we see the debilitated Moon in the fifth house, suggesting the public’s attention is concerning the country’s diplomatic relations, the status of the financial markets, on gender-related disputes, the entertainment industry, and issues surrounding sex, the nation’s birth rate, and children’s welfare. Saturn is the last of the classical planets the Moon has separated from and his significations are what the populace is paying attention to. Saturn ruling the sixth house and seventh house conjunct the eighth house cusp suggests the populace’s attention and concerns are about the lack of or limited employment opportunities, the actions of the military and law enforcement, the prevalence of serious illnesses, the status of the healthcare industry, the country’s expenditures, debts, loans, taxes, and the nation’s mortality. Perhaps the public may focus on what Saturn naturally signifies in relation to their finances, and these may be the inflated prices of food, gasoline, utilities (especially electricity and water), and that involves the commercial real estate.

The Sun rules the Ascendant and we see him in the sign of his fall in Libra and in the cadent third house. With the Sun powerless by essential and accidental conditions, Venus and Saturn rule him; however, please note the Sun and Venus are in generosity by domicile, so there could be some relief. As with the condition of its ruler, the populace may feel helpless and frustrated. It also shows issues about the populace’s health and well-being. With Venus in the Sun’s domicile and the Sun in Venus’ domicile, government policies and resolutions are critical, as they will directly affect the public. With the ruler of the fourth house angular, there could be very dangerous calamities in the period covered by the Libra ingress.

Saturn takes the helm from Venus as it is the Sun’s almuten; with the Sun in the exaltation and term rulership of Saturn. While Saturn rules the Sun, Saturn is peregrine in Pisces with a bare decan dignity. Hence, we will also look at Jupiter and back at Venus.

We will assess Jupiter and Venus’ placement to see what retrograde Saturn will bring to the forefront. Please note that the Moon will also apply to retrograde Jupiter, so the interpretation covers that. Jupiter (the ruler of the fifth house and the eighth house) in the tenth house suggests the attention of the populace is on the policies and resolutions of the government in relation to the aforementioned fifth house matters but also on the conditions of the banks and financial markets, the impact of the country’s debts, loans, expenditures, taxation policies, on insurance companies, and the nation’s excessive mortality. Jupiter negatively receiving the Moon portends the economic conditions and the government resolutions on the period covered by the Libra ingress are unfavorable for the populace. Similar to the Philippines, the perception of the populace on the economic conditions of the nation and the actions they will undertake may harm the insurance industry, the banks, and the financial markets. It is still unfavorable for the beauty, sports, gambling, and the entertainment industry. Venus, as the ruler of the fourth house in the Ascendant, shows the populace’s worries about the country’s diplomatic relations, issues on real estate, agriculture, and policies that affect homeland security relative to their own welfare.

The Moon will apply to the exalted Mercury in Virgo. While it is a trine aspect, the debilitated Moon in the fifth house will translate Saturn’s light (in the eighth house) from the sign where Mercury suffers its fall and detriment. The re-connection of the opposition with Saturn and the negative reception portends harm from Saturn and Mercury’s natural and accidental significations. With Mercury as the ruler of the second house, there will be extreme disruptions and disputes involving transportation, communication, and may portend severe issues in the economy, trade, commerce, the financial markets, and the banking industry. As the eleventh house ruler, the attention of the populace is on the legislation’s policies and resolutions relative to the nation’s enemies, diplomatic relations, the economy, the labor markets, and the country’s debts. The populace may see disputes or altercations between the members of the legislation and the military and/or law enforcement with the contra-antiscia between the exalted Mercury and debilitated Mars. The public is at risk for road and transportation accidents and the nation will see excessive mortality.

Mars and the Sun rule the tenth house in the ingress chart.

Like the Philippines, the attention of the populace is on the country’s leaders and military personnel. There are also worries about the escalating disputes between the neighboring countries and the actions of the government in relation to these concerns with Mars and the Sun debilitated in the third house. It supports the testimony of a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents, communication/technological malfunctions, and travel disruptions.

As mentioned earlier, the Moon links Mars and Uranus. With retrograde Uranus on the tenth house cusp, there are extreme dangers arising from severe weather. There may also be a lot of political instabilities, disagreements, and disputes between the populace and the leaders. The Moon translating the light of Uranus to Neptune (in the eighth house) may portend crisis related to coal and oil, the pharmaceutical companies, the populace’s disillusionment, and the risk of water-related calamities. The aspect with Pluto is another testimony of the excessive deaths.

The Economy

For both countries, our focus will now shift to their economies and we judge it by looking at the ingress chart’s second house and its lord, Jupiter’s placement and its lord; planets in the second house as co-significators. We will explore the usage of the lots to determine the price of some essential commodities.

In the Philippines, we see Pisces on the second house cusp. Jupiter and Venus rule the house. Jupiter is retrograde in Taurus. Venus is in Leo.

Our attention first is on retrograde Jupiter, where Mercury applies to it by trine. As mentioned earlier, the exalted Mercury in Virgo contra-antiscia the debilitated Mars harming retrograde Jupiter in Taurus suggests an extremely volatile economy, especially with the financial markets. Concerns with the country’s expenditures, debts, loans, and fiscal policies may arise during the period that will exert their prominent influence over the economy. We may also see issues with the national budget and banks. The placement of Jupiter in the fourth house suggests oil, coal, agriculture, real estate, and precious metals play critical roles. Jupiter in this earthy, domesticated, quadruped, and Venusian sign, in particular, could highlight issues and concerns involving the agriculture (especially the meat industry) and mining. Perhaps the policies and resolutions set by the country’s legislators and cabinet members are influential in shaping the economic conditions of the nation

Venus co-rules the house as it is the sign’s exaltation ruler and almuten. The fourth house and the ninth house are the other houses Venus rules and the significations they portend may play crucial roles in the nation’s economy. Looking at Venus, we see her in the seventh house, where the country’s relationship with other nations is important in keeping the economy afloat. The escalation of diplomatic disputes overseas and the nation’s diplomatic resolutions may be critical in the stability of the supply and price of agricultural resources, precious metals, oil, and coal.

Here, we will explore Al-Biruni’s lot [10] in forecasting the price of some of the significant commodities in the Philippines. Please note that this is not financial advice. In addition, the usage of the featured lots is experimental.

CommodityLocation of the LotInterpretation
Rice11°10’ Taurus – Third HouseThe lot is in the cadent third house, suggesting the lack of supply or the country missing out on its production target. There is a chance that the nation will import supply from our neighboring countries. Venus, its dispositor, is in the angular seventh house showing an exorbitant price or a continued hike in the price. The lot conjunct retrograde Jupiter is another testimony of the price.

Looking at the Moon (as its exaltation ruler), we see it in detriment and conjunct the twelfth house. While the testimonies may show a cheap price, it has recently separated from the angular Saturn and will translate its light to the exalted Mercury in Virgo. The application of the Moon to the exalted planet may portend a sharp rise in the price of this commodity.
Wheat22°44’ Virgo – Eighth HousePlease note that the Philippines does not produce wheat, so we import our supplies from overseas. Here, I replaced the Ascendant with the ninth house cusp as the point of reference in the formula. The nation’s supply may be adequate, but may purchase it on credit from other nations. Perhaps the lot is a supporting testimony of where the nation gets its supply. Mercury, in the sign of his exaltation, portends the price could be extremely high or portend a further increase.
Corn 24°39’ Scorpio – Tenth HouseThe lot in the angular Midheaven shows an abundant supply but with its dispositor, Mars, in detriment and cadent, the selling price is low.
Sugar 1°29’  Pisces – AscendantThere is an abundant supply of this commodity with the lot in the angular Ascendant. We may see limited or controlled access to this commodity because of the lot’s conjunction with Saturn. Prices remain expensive as its rulers, Jupiter and Venus, are angular.
Salt19°06’ Scorpio – Tenth HouseThe lot in the angular Midheaven shows an abundant supply but with its dispositor, Mars, in detriment and cadent, the selling price is low.
Onion23°12’ Virgo – Eighth HouseThe nation’s supply may be adequate. Mercury, in the sign of his exaltation, portends the price could be extremely high or portend a further increase.
Oil (Cooking) 26°21’ Aries – Third HouseThe lot is in the cadent third house, suggesting the lack of supply or the country missing out on its production target. There is a chance that the nation will import supply from our neighboring countries. Mars, its dispositor, is in the sign of its detriment and in a cadent house suggests prices may remain as is or relatively cheap.
Fossil Fuels (Petrol and Coal)Petroleum (Traditional): 13°15’ Sagittarius – Eleventh House
Petroleum (Modern): 23°05’ Virgo – Eighth House
Coal: 2°58’ Capricorn – Eleventh House
I have derived the variables in the formula from the perceived natural significator of the commodity, the prominent, and defining physical characteristic of the commodity in focus, and under the context to which the nation sources or secures the commodity. Once more, the lots here and their calculations are novel and experimental.

Petroleum (Traditional): 9th House cusp + Saturn – Moon: I have used Saturn as the traditional and natural significator of petroleum because of it as a subterranean resource and of its black color (based on crude oil). Its fluidity is why I assign the Moon as the trigger. I assigned the personal point to the ninth house because we import most of our oil from overseas. We can find this lot in Sagittarius in the eleventh house but is entering the tenth house, where it shows a relatively stable supply; however, Mercury (in the sign of Jupiter’s detriment and its contra-antiscia with Mars) hurling its harmful rays to Jupiter may portend supply chain disruptions. Jupiter ruling the lot in angle suggests an exorbitant price for the period.

Petroleum (Modern): 9th House cusp + Saturn – Neptune: Instead of the Moon, I used Neptune as the trigger. With the lot in the eighth house, the nation’s supply may be adequate but may purchase it on credit to maintain supply stability. Perhaps the lot is a supporting testimony of where the nation gets its supply (i.e., from other nations). Mercury, in the sign of his exaltation, portends the price could be extremely high or portend a further increase. The contra-antiscia of Mercury and Mars may augur supply chain issues in relation to this commodity.

Coal: 9th House cusp + Saturn – Mars: Once more, the Philippines imports its coal from overseas. Therefore, I assigned the personal point to the ninth house cusp. Coal, also a subterranean resource, is the reason for Saturn’s rulership. As a readily combustible but solid substance, I assigned Mars (a hot and dry planet) as the trigger. In the eleventh house, the supply is relatively stable. This lot is in Capricorn, with the Saturn and Mars ruling it. There are mixed testimonies with the pricing from its rulers. Saturn is in the Ascendant, so the price for such could be exorbitant. Mars, as its exaltation ruler, is in the sign of its detriment and in the cadent house, suggests a relatively low price. Perhaps we may see swings in the price of this commodity.

The USA’s Libra ingress chart shows Virgo on the second house cusp. Mercury rules the house. It is in its nocturnal home and exaltation in the second house.

Mercury’s essential condition could show fiscal prudence, or the populace is conservative/cautious in financial matters. The planet’s essential dignity, the contra-antiscia with Mars, and the trine with retrograde Jupiter in Taurus with negative reception suggest we could still see severe economic challenges and disputes arising from it (i.e., from inflation and banks further raising interests rates—Mercury in domicile and exaltation is extremely expensive and add to that the misdirected expansive nature of the retrograde Jupiter). Alternatively, it may show erratic strength in its currencySince Mercury also rules the eleventh house and, with her placement in the second house, the policies and resolutions set by the legislative bodies and the cabinet members will play a significant role in the economic condition of the nation. The contra-antiscia with Mars in detriment and with Mercury hurling its harmful rays to retrograde Jupiter (ruling the eighth house and the ninth house) in the tenth house shows government regulations, homeland security policies, and the state of the country’s diplomatic relations may cause extreme volatile economic conditions that will affect the financial markets and the banking system. We could see concerns with the country’s expenditures, debts, loans, the insurance industry, and issues in the nation’s budget.

Here, we will explore Al-Biruni’s lot [10] in forecasting the price of some of the significant commodities in the Philippines. Please note that this is not financial advice. In addition, the usage of the featured lots is experimental.

CommodityLocation of the LotInterpretation
Wheat24°40’ PiscesEighth HouseWhile the supply for this commodity is relatively stable, the nation may source it from other nations to maintain the stability of the supply. Its dispositors Jupiter and Venus are in the angles showing an exorbitant price.
Corn26°36’ Taurus – Tenth HouseThe lot in the tenth house suggests a stable supply. It rulers are Venus and the Moon. We may see a middling to exorbitant price for the commodity with the Moon, in detriment and in a succedent house while Venus is in an angle.
Sugar3°26’ Virgo – Second HouseThe supply and price is relatively stable but may increase because of Mercury’s essential dignity, which is in its domicile and exaltation.
Salt21°03’ Taurus – Tenth HouseThe lot in the tenth house suggests a stable supply. It rulers are Venus and the Moon. We may see a middling to exorbitant price for the commodity with the Moon, in detriment and in a succedent house while Venus is in an angle.
Cooking Oil28°18’ Libra – Fourth HouseThe lot in the fourth house suggests a stable supply. It rulers are Venus and the Saturn. We may see an exorbitant price for the commodity with its rulers in the angles.
Petrol and CoalPetrol (Traditional) – 5°35’ Libra – Third House; 23°12’ Taurus– Tenth House
Petrol (Modern) – 15°26’ Cancer – Twelfth House;  3°02’ Pisces -Eighth House
Coal –
24°12’  Sagittarius – Fifth House; 11°49’ Leo – Ascendant
I have derived the variables in the formula from the perceived natural significator of the commodity, the prominent and defining physical characteristic of the commodity in focus, and under the context to which the nation sources or secures the commodity. Once more, the lots here and their calculations are novel and experimental.

The USA is both an exporter and importer of oil and coal, so there will be lots prognosticating the prices from local production and from importation.

Locally Produced Petroleum (Traditional): Asc + Saturn – Moon: I have used Saturn as the traditional and natural significator of petroleum because of it as a subterranean resource and of its black color (based on crude oil). Its liquidity is why I assign the Moon as the trigger. We can find this lot in Libra in the third house, where it shows the country’s limited production or low supply of oil. Venus and Saturn are the lot’s rulers and they are in the angles (i.e., Saturn is on the eighth house cusp but will advance towards the seventh house). Their angularity suggests an exorbitant price for the period.

Imported Petroleum (Traditional): 9th House cusp + Saturn – Moon: We can find this lot in Taurus in the tenth house, where the is an abundance of supply overseas. Venus and the Moon rule the lot. The angularity of Venus suggests an exorbitant price for the period. The Moon in the succedent house suggests middling purchase price. From its rulers, the purchase and the selling price could swing from middling to expensive.

Locally Produced Petroleum (Modern): Asc + Saturn – Neptune: The lot in the twelfth house shows the limited production of the commodity. The Moon and Jupiter rule the lot. With the Moon in a succedent house, the price for this commodity is middling. Its exaltation ruler in the angle shows an exorbitant price. From its rulers, the purchase and the selling price could swing from middling to expensive.

Imported Petroleum (Modern): 9th House cusp + Saturn – Neptune: The lot in the eighth house shows a relatively stable supply. Its dispositors Jupiter and Venus are in the angles showing an exorbitant price.

Locally Produced Coal: Asc + Saturn – Mars: Coal, also a subterranean resource, is the reason for Saturn’s rulership. As a readily combustible but solid substance, I assigned Mars (as a hot and dry planet) as the trigger. This lot is in Sagittarius with Jupiter ruling it. We can find this lot in the fifth house, where it shows a relatively stable supply. Jupiter ruling the lot in angle suggests an exorbitant price for the period.

Imported Coal: 9th House cusp + Saturn – Mars: This lot is in Leo with the Sun ruling it. The placement shows a relatively stable supply and cheap price overseas (with the lot in the angular Ascendant and its dispositor is in the cadent third house).
Gold24°40’ Sagittarius – Fifth House; 12°17’ Leo – AscendantLocally Produced Gold: Asc + Sun – Jupiter: While Saturn has co-rulership over gold (because it is also a subterranean resource), I prioritized its appearance in judging which planet will better signify it. From that, I chose the Sun. Jupiter is the significator of the economy, banks, and financial markets. Hence, I chose it as the trigger. The lot is in Sagittarius and in the fifth house could show a relatively stable access to this precious metal. Its ruler, Jupiter, is in the angular tenth house, showing a further hike in the price of this commodity.

Imported Gold: 9th House cusp + Sun – Jupiter: The lot is in Leo and in the Ascendant could show the accessibility to the populace from overseas; however, its price overseas is relatively cheaper than that of produced locally.

The Government

The tenth and eleventh house are the houses to assess should we like to know how our leaders do. For heads of the state, we also check into the condition of the Sun as the natural significator. Planets in the tenth house and the eleventh house are the co-significators.

In the Philippines, Mars is the ruler of the tenth house, while Jupiter is the lord of the eleventh house. Mars’ essential debility, cadence, and conjunction with the South Node in Libra may mean the government has diminished control over the circumstances they will face and shows the challenges in implementing policies and resolutions. With Mars in the ninth house, the attention of the government is on the diplomatic situation overseas. Alternatively, we may see issues and/or disputes involving our courts and the justice system, military and/or the law enforcement, universities or colleges, our airspace, and the escalating diplomatic disputes globally with the debilitated Mars conjunct the ninth house cusp. Perhaps the government may seek aid from other nations or may be under the power or mercy of foreign entities considering Mars’ essential and accidental conditions. The Sun, as the natural significator of the leaders, is in generosity with Venus in the eighth house showing the government’s attention is on the country’s debts, loans, its financial relations with other nations, and the national mortality rate. With Venus in the seventh house, as the domicile ruler of Mars and the Sun, and as ruler of the fourth house and ninth house, the government may focus on diplomatic resolutions to ensure the security in agriculture, the commercial real estate, and that of the subterranean resources such oil, coal and precious metals. Perhaps we may see the demise and/or scandals of eminent figures with the Sun fallen in this house. Saturn, as the exaltation ruler and almuten of Mars and the Sun, portends their concern is also about the people and the challenges they face. While that is the case, the government cannot effectively address the issues the public will raise because of the aversion between the Sun-Mars and Saturn. The essential and accidental conditions augur the inability of the government to act effectively.

Jupiter in the fourth house suggests the concerns of the legislation and the cabinet members are about the issues on homeland security, agriculture, mining/precious metals, and the security of the country’s oil and coal in relation to energy and transportation. With Venus (also ruler of the ninth house in the seventh house) ruling Jupiter, their attention is also on the nation’s relationship with other countries under the context of the aforementioned fourth house issues and commodities.

Looking at the USA’s Libra ingress chart, we see Aries on the tenth house and Gemini on the eleventh house cusp. Mars and the Sun rules the tenth house while Mercury rules the eleventh house. Jupiter co-signifies the nation’s leaders with it in the tenth house. Similar to the Philippines, Mars’ essential debility, cadence, and conjunction with the South Node in Libra may mean the government has diminished control over the circumstances they will face and shows the challenges in implementing policies and resolutions. With Mars and the Sun in the third house, the attention of the government is on the issues involving the neighboring countries and the country’s communications and transportations systems. The essential and accidental conditions of the planets in a cadent house suggests the risk of nation’s leaders and/or eminent figures getting into road and transportation accidents. Alternatively, we may see and hear of news of the demise and/or scandals of those prominent personnel.

The tenth house cusp contains retrograde Jupiter (ruling the eighth house and the ninth house), where it augurs the attention is also on the activities of banks, financial markets, and the status of the economy; it may also show the focus is on the country’s debts (and its further increase), loans, taxation policies, the insurance industry, the diplomatic and financial relationship with other countries, and the excessive national mortality rate. Perhaps this is another testimony of the demise of people of eminence. On a side note, the Midheaven degree activates the April 2023 Aries Solar Eclipse of which augurs eminent figures in trouble. Jupiter’s angularity suggests national inquests involving high profile figures. Uranus in this house augurs political instabilities.

Aside from accidentally ruling the economy, financial markets, and banks, Mercury rules the nation’s legislature and cabinet members. It also signifies the national budget. From that, the attention of those figures is on the nation’s budget, the economy, the financial markets, and the activities of banks. With Mercury in contra-antiscia with Mars and applying a trine to Jupiter with negative reception, policies and resolutions may affect significantly the financial markets, the banking system, the global economy, and the nation’s diplomatic relations with other countries. We may also see disputes between the legislation and the head of the state involving the country’s national budget, debts, loans, and taxes.

The Effects of the October 2023 Eclipses

In this section, we will see the effects of the eclipses for each country and for us to get a better picture, we will cast a Bi-wheel chart of the eclipses superimposed on the Libra ingress charts. Figure 8 shows the Bi-wheel chart where the Inner Chart is the Libra ingress and the Outer Chart is Solar Eclipse in Libra chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).

Figure 8. The Bi-Wheel of the 2023 Libra Ingress and October 2023 Solar Eclipse in Libra for the Philippines and the United States of America.

We begin with the Philippines and first look into the Ascendant of the Eclipse. The themes brought up by the April 2023 Solar Eclipse in Aries continues with the Ascendant of the eclipse is in Leo. While Guido Bonatti did not elaborate on the eclipse with Leo as the Ascendant, my guess was to consider the nature of the sign and of its ruler. Leo is a bestial, barren, fiery, and fixed sign. Its ruler, the Sun, is the natural significator of kings, rulers, and the eminent. The Philippines may encounter challenges related to violence, extreme weather, fire, explosions/eruptions, and fire-related incidents. It also puts the spotlight on the leaders, where the Moon conjuncts with the fallen Sun. Mercury (ruler of the second house and eleventh house of the eclipse chart), as the closest planet to the eclipse, and the Moon (ruler of the twelfth house of the eclipse chart) translating its light to the Sun upon the perfection of the eclipse all in the third house, portends disputes with neighboring countries that may affect the nation’s economy (with Mercury ruling the second house and the eleventh house of the eclipse chart). Alternatively, we could see and hear news of the demise (because of accidents) and/or scandals of high-profile individuals, especially with the eclipse’s dispositor, Venus, in the sign of her fall.

The eclipse in the ninth house of the Libra ingress chart and with the Sun’s dispositor, Venus, fallen in the seventh house, the attention could also be on the country’s diplomatic relations that may negatively affect the economy, but also augurs a reputation-tarnishing national inquest involving prominent/eminent public figures. Mercury’s involvement in the eclipse and with it conjunct Mars of the Libra ingress chart could also augur extreme weather events and powerful earthquakes. Perhaps we may see events involving the airspace and protests involving the military. It is also noteworthy that the Moon rules the sixth house of the Libra ingress chart. With the Moon harming the Sun from the sign of his fall, we may see disputes between nation’s leaders and the military and/or the law enforcement, the challenges in dealing with the nation’s employment and labor conditions (especially that of the healthcare industry), and in dealing with the diseases plaguing the nation. Perhaps we may see and hear news of prominent people getting sick.

Looking into the USA’s eclipse chart, we see Capricorn Rising and its rulers, Saturn retrograde in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio. With Capricorn as an earthy, domesticated, and quadruped sign, the effects of the eclipse [8] revolves around agriculture (especially that involves cattle), precious metals, oil, coal, and other subterranean resources. The Ascendant of the eclipse is on the sixth house of the Libra ingress chart, where it augurs issues or concerns involving the military, law enforcement, the nation’s employment and labor conditions (especially that of the healthcare industry), and deadly diseases (with Saturn ruling the eclipse Ascendant and in the eighth house). Venus, the ruler of this eclipse, is in the sign of his fall in Virgo in the second house of the Libra ingress chart. What this means is there could be intense events or disputes involving the nation’s economy, the banking system, and the financial marketsWe could also see concerns involving homeland security, the commercial real estate, agriculture, precious metals, oil, and coal. The involvement of Mercury in the eclipse and its conjunction with Mars of the Libra ingress supports the testimony of the possible serious economic issues but may also portend disputes with neighboring countries involving the military. It further highlights concerns involving the nation’s transportation and communication systems, where there could be significant airspace events and we may see a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents and technological malfunctions.

Retrograde Saturn is the domicile ruler and the dignified Mars in Scorpio is the exaltation ruler of the eclipse Ascendant and we see it conjunct the eighth house cusp and the fourth house cusp of the Libra ingress chart, respectively. With Saturn of the eclipse chart in the eighth house of the ingress chart, we may see and hear a lot of news about deaths or see excessive mortality. It may also show up as financial troubles and/or trade disputes with other nations. Perhaps there is a limit to the access of certain resources from other nations (with Saturn’s involvement, this may pertain to some agricultural products, oil, coal, and precious metals). Mars, as the exaltation ruler of the eclipse Ascendant, in its domicile in the fourth house of the Libra ingress chart may augur serious concerns about homeland security and the extreme risks for destructive earthquakes, eruptions/explosions, storms, and water-related calamities and accidents. Perhaps we may see water-related events that involve the mobilization of the military and/or law enforcement.

Figure 9. The Bi-Wheel of the 2023 Libra Ingress and October 2023 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus for the Philippines and the United States of America.

The Philippines: Libra is the Ascendant of the eclipse. With Libra as an airy and human (social, vocal, and rational) sign, as per Guido Bonatti, the effects of the eclipse are in the populace, birds/poultry, and flight/airspace-related events [5]. Venus, the fallen ruler of this eclipse, and the eclipse Ascendant are in the eighth house of the Libra ingress chart. The eclipse’s exaltation ruler, retrograde Saturn, is in the Ascendant. What this means is that the eclipse may portend events about the country’s debts, loans, fiscal and taxation policies, the financial relations with other nations, and also about the populace’s health and national mortality. The eclipse Ascendant is conjunct with Mars of the Libra ingress chart. Since Mars rules the third house and the tenth house, the nation’s leaders may deal with the issues concerning our neighboring countries. It is also possible that we may see and hear of news of disputes involving the airspace. This is a testimony of the higher incidence of road and transportation disruptions and accidents and communication issues.

We see the eclipse taking place in the third house and the ninth house of the Libra ingress chart, suggesting we may see further escalation of global disputes, especially that involves our neighboring countries. This may also portend a lot road and transportation accidents, issues and disruptions on travels, communication, and technological devices. Perhaps we may see the mainstream media and social media in deep trouble.

Our attention is now on the planets closest to the eclipse and the houses they rule in the ingress chart. The planets closest to the eclipse are retrograde Saturn in Pisces, Mercury in Scorpio, retrograde Jupiter in Taurus, and Mars in Scorpio. Saturn rules the Ascendant and the twelfth house suggesting the eclipse may put into the spotlight the serious health concerns the populace is experiencing, and the hidden enemies of state. It may also emphasize the challenging circumstances and limitations the public is facing. As discussed in the previous blog predicting earthquakes and destructive natural disasters through the ingress and eclipse, we could witness the aforementioned events whenever we see the ruler of the fourth house of the applicable ingress in the angle, the lunar eclipse chart’s ruler of the fourth in the angles or involved in the eclipse and the solar eclipse chart’s ruler of the fourth house in the angle or involved in the eclipse. Here, we see Saturn, the ruler of the fourth house of the eclipse chart, involved in the eclipse portending the factor we seek for mega-quakes and severe natural calamities.

Mercury in the ingress chart also has rulership over the nation’s diplomacy, the welfare of children and status of the birth rate, the entertainment industry, sports, the speculations/gambling industry, the country’s debts, loans, taxes, and the nation’s mortality. The planet naturally rules trade, commerce, transportation, and communication. With it involved in the eclipse in the ninth house of the Libra ingress chart and in the second house of the eclipse chart, there may be secret talks, deals, and negotiations regarding the concerns with the status of the country’s relationship with its allies and other countries under the context of trade and commerce. The opposition of Mercury to Jupiter and its conjunction with Mars suggests these negotiations are delicate and may augur an extremely volatile economy and financial markets. There could be a lot of service disruptions in the banking industry. We may also see and hear news of maritime disputes and water-related calamities and accidents with Mercury conjunct Mars. It portends an extreme risk of destructive earthquakes and eruptions/explosions. This is an unfavorable testimony for those in the entertainment, gambling, and sports, where we may see and hear news of scandals and/or the demise of those in the industry. Issues on gender-disputes and children’s welfare will be at the forefront.

The USA: The Ascendant of the eclipse is in Pisces, a watery, fruitful (a sign of many children), mute, and double-bodied sign. According to Guido Bonatti, the effects of the eclipse are water-related, on liquid products, and involve aquatic animals (affects and there are events involving the fishing industry and other maritime disputes). Jupiter, the ruler of this eclipse, is retrograde in the tenth house of the Libra ingress chart. The eclipse’s exaltation ruler, Venus, is in the sign of her fall in the second house. The eclipse may portend events about the government’s policies and resolutions about the country’s economy, financial markets, issues in the banking systems, debts, loans, fiscal and taxation policies, and also the country’s national mortality. The eclipse in second house of the eclipse chart and in the tenth house and its Ascendant is in the eighth house of the Libra ingress chart, is a supporting testimony of what the placement of the rulers of the eclipse Ascendant will bring. From that, we could also see the nation mourning over the period covered by the effects of the eclipse.

Our attention now is on the planets closest to the eclipse. The planets closest to the eclipse are retrograde Saturn in Pisces, Mercury in Scorpio, retrograde Jupiter in Taurus, and Mars in Scorpio. Saturn rules the sixth and the seventh house suggesting the eclipse may put into the spotlight the serious health concerns the populace is experiencing, and the partners and enemies of the state. It may also emphasize the activities of the military and law enforcement but also the state of the nation’s workforce and the healthcare industry.

Mercury in the ingress chart has rulership over the nation’s economy, banking systems, financial markets, the legislation, the national budget, and the country’s allies. The planet naturally rules trade, commerce, transportation, and communication. With it involved in the eclipse in the eighth house of the eclipse chart and in the fourth house of the Libra ingress chart, the polices and resolutions about the country’s financial relations with other nations, its expenditures, debts, loans, taxes, and the insurance industries will deeply affect the economy, banks, and the financial markets; it is noteworthy that the outcomes in the economy of the nation will also affect the homeland security. The spotlight is on agriculture, commercial real estate, oil, coal, and precious metals. The opposition of Mercury to Jupiter and its conjunction with Mars suggests we may also see a massive spending on the mobilization of the military and/or law enforcement relative to maritime disputes and homeland security concerns. There could be a lot of service disruptions. We may also water-related calamities and accidents. The involvement of Mercury as the fourth house ruler of the eclipse chart in the eclipse is a critical factor when judging mega-quakes, powerful volcanic activities, and extreme natural calamities. It is imperative for the populace to be on high alert in the following months.

Earthquakes, Other Natural Disasters, & Eclipse Astrocartography

This segment will show the Astrocartography of the Eclipses, which shows the places all over the world at high risk for earthquakes or perhaps natural disasters. Here, we will look into the eclipse lines, the lines of Saturn as the traditional greater malefic, Mars as the traditional ruler of quakes, Uranus as the quake’s modern significator, and Jupiter as the indicator of powerful earthquakes. The points of intersection show an extreme risk of these events. Please click the photos to enlarge. Figures 10 shows the Astrocartography of the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus.
