An E-Sports Horary: The Attempt to Interpret Tiered Competition Question Charts

The question is about a tournament in Axie (a token-crypto-based online gaming platform). In this game, the players breed and raise monsters/pets for battle. This is a tiered competition, where winners will advance to the next tier or cut until a sole winner emerges. There were two charts cast as the querent and I agreed to predict the tier her team can advance in.

The Initial Question Cast on November 2021 – Will my team enter the cut?

Figure 1: Will my team enter the cut?

Considerations

  1. The Ascendant is the querent, and her team is the Second House and its ruler. It is noteworthy that this competition involves funding the team through token-cryptocurrency, so we chose the Second House as her team. Perhaps we can look at the question as determining the success potential and the level of success of her investment.
  2. The relationship of the Second House ruler to the benefics.
  3. The essential and accidental dignities of the Second House ruler and its relationship with the ruler of the angles. I have assigned the angles to the corresponding tiers: the Fourth House as the cut for the top 501-1000 players, the Seventh House and the Ascendant as the top 101-500, and the Tenth House as top 1-100. I also considered the Fifth House and the Eleventh House because these are fortunate houses.
  4. The Moon and its ruler.
  5. The Part of Fortune and its ruler.

Judgment

I assessed the degree of the Ascendant and its radicality. The cusp is not in an early or late degree of the sign. Next is the assessment of the chart’s radicality by checking on the planetary hour. Here, we have the Moon’s hour and Virgo Rising. The chart is radical with the Moon as the nocturnal triplicity ruler of the earth signs. The Moon is also not void-of-course. With all these, I judged the chart.

My focus on this chart is on the accidental dignities of the Second House ruler. While talent and hard work are imperative in one’s success, in the gaming industry, luck will play a dominant role in the outcome.

Libra is on the Second House cusp and the benevolent planet of the night chart, Venus, rules it. While Venus is peregrine in Capricorn, we see her in a favorable position relative to the Sun, as she is occidental (rising after the Sun) and in an earth sign. Venus is also rejoicing in the Fifth House but will be in a powerful place as she enters the angular Fourth House, with her on the cusp. Interestingly, if we turn the chart, Venus will be in the Forth House from the Second House. From these testimonies, I judged the answer to the question as a “Yes.”

Other than these, I have looked at the planet Venus will apply to for supporting testimonies. Mars is the planet Venus will apply to. Mars receives Venus in the sign of his exaltation, where I suppose is favorable for competitions. In addition, Mars has collected the light of Mercury (the ruler of the radical Tenth House of success) and Venus’ application to Mars with Mercury’s light portends a higher chance of getting ahead of the tournament.

Although the Moon here is powerful by essential dignities (exaltation, triplicity, and face), she is opposing Mercury and the Sun, where these two planets are in the sign of her fall. The Moon opposing Mercury with a negative reception shows a glass ceiling. However, Venus, as the dispositor of the Moon, and her condition, shows a decent rank.

Our attention now is on the Part of Fortune. We see the lot in the angular Seventh House where the benevolent planets, Jupiter and Venus, rule it. The angularity of the lot supports a fortunate testimony. However, the testimonies from the lot’s rulers are of mixed fortunes with Jupiter, peregrine and in a cadent house, but Venus rejoicing in the Fifth House but on the cusp, to enter the angular Fourth House.

The Follow-up Question Cast on December 2021 – Will my team enter the Top 100?

Figure 2: Will my team enter the Top 100?

Considerations

  1. The Ascendant is the querent, and her team is the Second House and its ruler. Here, we should note the Moon rules the Second House.
  4. The Part of Fortune and its ruler.

Judgment

Similar to the first chart, we check on the Ascendant and its radicality. The Ascendant is not in the early or late degrees. Gemini rises at the hour of Jupiter. I judge the chart as radical with Gemini, a hot and wet sign, and Jupiter, a hot and wet planet. The Moon is also not void-of-course. Once more, with these considered, I judged the chart.

With luck, as the predominant factor in the gaming industry, our priority is still on the accidental dignities of the Second House ruler, the Moon. We see the Moon waning and in the sign of her fall in Scorpio but in the Fifth House, the house of good fortune. From the considerations set regarding the tiers, I have judged this as “No” because the Moon has separated from Jupiter, the ruler of the angular Tenth House and Seventh House. The Moon is also not on the Tenth House or the Eleventh House cusp. Her application to the ruler of the cadent Third House (the Sun) with negative reception (Capricorn is the sign of the Moon’s detriment) is another testimony supporting the no answer. In this testimony, I advised the querent that there could be technical problems, so I advise to ensure her gamers have a stable internet connection and properly working phones as potential loss can come from technicalities. It is noteworthy if we turn the chart, the Moon is also in the Fourth House from the radical Second House.

The last testimony to assess is that of the Part of Fortune. Here, we see it brings mixed fortunes. It shows fortune because the lot is on the Eleventh House cusp and will enter the Tenth House. However, the rulers of the lot, Mars and the Sun, also show mixed fortunes. While Mars is in the sign of her joy in the Sixth House, with it a cadent house reduces its capacity to act. Mars’ ruler Jupiter is powerful in Pisces but also in the cadent Ninth House. Looking at the Sun, we see him in the Seventh House, which puts it in the tier. However, its dispositor Saturn is in the shadowy Eighth House.

Results

The querent reached out back to me that one of her team members reached the top 500. As we have gone along with interpreting the chart, she also has relayed to me there is indeed a team member experiencing technical problems with the internet connection and his smartphone. With the results, it is possible that we can cast another chart for the same question, but it has to have a sense of randomness to it. It is also imperative for this type of situation to check for the chart’s radicality, to assess the safety of judging the chart. Turning the chart is also important.
