2021 was just the start of the aftermath of 2020. The Sun’s ingresses and the eclipses of 2020 and 2021 planted the seeds not only for 2022 but in the years to come. As we enter 2022 and as it progresses, the world continues to be shaken, and the darker underbelly of our society is turning, exposing itself, for everyone to see. Powerful winds will sweep and the heavy drapes obscuring our sights and confusing us will lift. As the light pours in, humanity will be in for a radical change in perspective. Perhaps this could be a rude awakening.
Similar to the previous mundane astrological prediction series, we will explore the implications of the Capricorn Ingress (forecasts cover from December 21/22, 2021, to March 20, 2022) and delineate the potential outcomes of the Aries Ingress (the validity of the forecast varies per country) plus the eclipses happening in the signs of Taurus and Scorpio. Like the previous articles, I will divide it into the Global interpretation and a Philippine-specific interpretation. There will still be a US-specific interpretation. With 2021 shaking the world, we are entering the epicenter of the storm by 2022, where the powerful gusts blow away the uninitiated and astonish the wise.
Entering the Storm’s Outer Rain Bands: The 2021 Capricorn Ingress
For most of the countries, the Aries and the Libra Ingress are the basis for what’s coming in the last quarter of 2021 until the Aries Ingress of 2022. However, there is a necessity to cast the Capricorn Ingress to forecast what will happen in the last three months of the 2021 Astrological Year, that is from December 21, 2021, to March 20, 2022. The Capricorn Ingress Chart serves as a complementary tool that helps us see issues that were not discussed from the previous ingresses. For the USA, the 2021 Aries Ingress is still valid until March 20, 2022. You can review the forecast here. If you wish to review the forecast for the Libra Ingress and the recent eclipses in Taurus and Sagittarius, especially for the Philippines which the forecast applies, you can read it by clicking it here.

The Global Interpretation of the Ingress
We again begin with the Moon and see it is waning in a mute, cardinal, watery, and fertile sign of Cancer. In traditional astrology, the Moon is in her abode. She is powerful in her domicile and is the master of her affairs. Jupiter is the Moon’s exaltation ruler. Venus rules the Moon as the daytime triplicity ruler, while Mars takes the helm as the nocturnal triplicity ruler. The Moon is in her own face.
In the Capricorn Ingress chart, we see the Moon is void-of-course , and so we look back into the planets she separated from for us to understand comprehensively the significations she carries. The planets the Moon separated from are the Sun in Capricorn, Uranus in Taurus Retrograde, Mercury in Capricorn, Neptune in Pisces, Pluto in Capricorn, and Venus in Capricorn Retrograde.
As the Moon entered Cancer, it opposed the Sun in Capricorn. The Sun naturally signifies leaders, authority figures, and the people of eminence, while the Moon is the natural significator of the populace, women, and children. The Moon, in a watery sign, suggests emotions and/or passions drive the populace. In her domicile, the people have the power but could also be conservative with decisions. A literal interpretation suggests that the people could stay at home. The Moon is with the fixed star Procyon , which has the nature of Mercury and Mars. Procyon’s influence portends people could be outspoken with a predilection to disputes and violence.
We now look closely into the Moon’s opposition to the Sun. The Moon negatively receives the Sun because Capricorn is the sign of her detriment. This adverse aspect suggests the populace is not in favor of the decisions of authority figures. Another way of looking at it is the leaders’ actions may not serve the best interest of the populace, especially those that involve women and children. Considering the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sun in the Moon’s detriment suggests the leaders restricting the populace’s activities. Certain policies could have an adverse impact on the populace.
After the Moon’s opposition with the Sun, the Moon applied a sextile to the retrograde Uranus in Taurus. Uranus is the planet signifying volatility, shocks, and quakes. The Moon carries and translates the light from the Sun in Capricorn to Uranus in Taurus. We also see Uranus receiving a superior square from Saturn in Aquarius (where he receives a sextile from Mars) and Mercury, from a separating superior trine. Uranus collects the light of the Sun, the Moon, Saturn, and Mercury, suggesting an uprising from potential restrictions. Weather-wise, this could be frigid and windy for the Northern Hemisphere, while wet and windy for the Southern Hemisphere and tropical regions. The configuration of the planets with Uranus portends an extreme earthquake risk. Extremes in tides are likely.
The Moon opposed Mercury. Mercury is in the sign of the Moon’s detriment. Mercury naturally signifies the media outlets and information resources. He also has rulership over trade, commerce, and transportation. The adverse reception creates polarity and confusion. Information disseminated and/or censored might harm the populace. There is also a higher risk of road and transportation accidents. The populace may have to contend with issues related to trade and commerce. Saturn having rulership over Mercury augurs information censorship.
Neptune is the planet the Moon has translated light from Mercury. Socialism, communism, and left-wing political ideas belong to Neptune and will be on the fore. The Moon connecting Mercury to Neptune thickens the fog, furthering the confusion. It also exacerbates clandestine activities, treachery, and fraud, thus there’s a lot going on behind the scene.
Pluto and Venus are the last two planets the Moon applied to before it goes void-of-course. Starting with Pluto, the planet signifies organized crimes, the deep state, espionage, and abuse of power. It is also the modern significator of death. The opposition of the waning Moon in Cancer to Pluto in Capricorn with adverse reception is reminiscent of the effects of the January 2020 lunar eclipse in Cancer also opposing Pluto, where it portended harm to the populace and raised homeland security concerns. Until now, we still feel the effects of that potent lunar eclipse, and the upcoming Capricorn Ingress will once more simulate the experience. There will be an exposure of the populace to the adverse effects from the listed Plutonian significations. The aspect of the Moon with Pluto portends the period can be extremely intense or hysteria-producing, so it is best to remain grounded.
We now look at Venus as the last planet the Moon applied to. Venus is in retrograde in the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn. Her conjunction with Pluto through retrograde could intensify and expose issues related to women, children, and diplomatic relations. Again, there is harm to the Moon with Venus in the sign of the Moon’s detriment. Social issues and foreign diplomatic relations are the primary concern or worries of the people. The intensification of these aforementioned issues and revelations could put the populace at the crossfire of the involved parties. The Entertainment and Sports industries are other Venusian significations that are taking the hard hit. Pluto, as the natural modern significator of death, suggests we may hear news of the scandals and/or the demise of prominent entertainment and sports figures.
Here, we will look at the remaining planets and we begin with Jupiter. We see Jupiter in Aquarius, an airy, social, human, rational, and vocal sign which Saturn rules. Jupiter has rulership over economies and banks, but also the courts and legal counsel. He also rules religion and religious people. Saturn ruling Jupiter suggests economic restrictions and limitations to religious activities. The transit of the planet of wealth in this airy sign suggests it is favorable for the e-commerce and technology industries. Jupiter will re-enter Pisces for the second time on December 30, 2021. In this sign, Jupiter is in his nocturnal home, so it makes his significations fortunate. However, we will feel this influence to a maximum extent when the Sun ingresses Aries where Jupiter is in the sign. In the meantime, the influence of Jupiter in Aquarius presides over in the last three months of the astrological year.
Mars is in the first half of Sagittarius of which ancient astrologers describe as the human part of the sign. Human signs, such as Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Aquarius, and the first half of Sagittarius, are vocal, social, and intellectual. Mars in this sign suggests there could be disputes, rallies, rioting, and strikes related to social issues and foreign diplomatic relations. In Jupiter’s domicile, we could see an abundance of legal disputes. A fiery planet in a fiery sign with the South Node could bring about pestilential events related to quakes, fire, and explosions. We see Mars with the fixed star Acrab and approaching the fixed star Antares [10,11], so we may see a rise in criminal, police, and military activity. Mars applying a sextile to Saturn in Aquarius fans the flames. In astrometeorology, this could bring about severe weather.
Except for the Moon, Saturn disposits all the planets. Saturn is still in his diurnal domicile and triplicity in Aquarius. Saturn has final rulership over the five classical planets, so his significations will be prominent. With Mars committing its disposition to Saturn , we could see disputes, strikes, rioting, or concerns related to agriculture, real estate, and subterranean resources.
The Epicenter of the Effects of the November 2021 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus
The orb of the intensity of the effects of the lunar eclipse in Taurus will happen In the last three months of the 2021 astrological year. You can read for the full interpretation here for the Philippines, the USA, and the astrocartography. As a quick recap, the eclipse revolves around martial themes and these are anger, disputes (industrial, political, and diplomatic), conflicts, wars, terrorist attacks, and incidents related to fire and explosions. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, pestilential storms, and droughts are other Martial significations.
It is also imperative to know the planets closest to the eclipse. As the Moon opposes the Sun, it carries and translates the light of three planets, and they are Mercury in Scorpio, Jupiter in Aquarius, and Pluto in Capricorn. The eclipse also has revelatory themes with Mercury and Jupiter involved. There could be issues on information resources, transportation, trade, commerce, banking, cryptocurrency, and the economy. With Mars as the ruler of the eclipse and powerful, this eclipse can be severely disruptive in those areas. There is an extreme risk of earthquakes with Mars in Scorpio opposite retrograde Uranus in Taurus.
For the Philippines and the USA, the eclipses show an extreme risk of natural disasters, in particular, earthquakes. It is imperative to remain on high alert for the period.
The rationale for the timing: The entire duration of this eclipse is 6 hours and 2 minutes. Using Guido Bonatti’s method, where 1 hour is equal to 1 month and 2 minutes is equal to 1 day, the length of the eclipse is 6 months and 1 day. We now convert it into calendar days and the result is 182 days. Dividing it by 2, we get the epicenter and this is 91 days status post eclipse. From November 19, the eclipse’s midpoint is on February 18, 2022. We add 31 days before and 30 after to get the orb of eclipse’s intensity and the eclipse’s effects intensify starting January 17, 2022, peaking the entire February and will start waning after March 18, 2022. This lunar eclipse’s effects end on May 20, 2022.
The General Temperament of the Ingress
The table below shows the temperament of the Capricorn Ingress involving the seven classical planets in traditional astrology. It will give a rough estimate of the collective psyche and general impression of the climate for the period. Please take note the Capricorn Ingress is supplementary to the 2021 Aries and/or Libra Ingress forecast.
|Occidental Saturn in Aquarius||X||X||X||XX|
|Occidental Jupiter in Aquarius||XX||XXX|
|Oriental Mars in Sagittarius||XXX||XX|
|The Sun in Capricorn||X||X||X||X|
|Occidental Venus in Capricorn Retrograde||X||XXX||X|
|Occidental Mercury in Capricorn||XXX||XX|
|The Moon in Cancer (waning and third quarter)||X||XX||XX|
We see dry predominates with cold and moist coming close, suggesting that the people’s temperaments for the period are melancholic and phlegmatic. This could be a period where people are serious and prone to depressive thoughts. Phlegmatic dominance also suggests the risk of exposure to communicable diseases. The overall rulership of Saturn, a melancholic planet, and the Moon, a phlegmatic planet, is another testimony of the populace’s temperaments.
Upon the Sun’s ingress in Capricorn, we see dryness slightly dominating. The qualities of dry at par with wet and cold suggest there are parts of the globe that are cold but lack precipitation and areas experiencing severe cold with inundation or heavy precipitation. The prominence of dryness is unfavorable for agricultural yield.
On a side note, Uranus collects the light of Saturn and Mercury. Uranus, a naturally cold planet in a cold and dry sign, enhances the cold. He, collecting the light of Saturn, a cold and dry planet in hot and moist sign, and Mercury, a naturally cold and dry planet in a cold and dry sign, could augur powerful cold winds.
One method of predicting the weather, according to Dr. Benjamin Dykes is by inspecting what mansion the planets are in. This method is important as these lunar mansions act as gates to dispensing rain whenever a planet/s is/are in the mansion/s. The lunar mansion of the planets determines the level of moisture and its fortunateness. We will see in the following table the Arabic Lunar Mansion containing the planets.
|Planet/Lunar Mansion in Arabic ||Moisture and Fortunateness |
|Occidental Saturn in Aquarius: Al Sa’d al Dhabih||Very Moist; Lucky.|
|Occidental Jupiter in Aquarius: Al Sa’d al Su’ud||Temperate to Moist; Unfortunate.|
|Oriental Mars in Sagittarius: Iklil al Jabhah||Very Moist; Unfortunate.|
|The Sun in Capricorn: Al Shaulah||Moist; Unfortunate.|
|Occidental Venus in Capricorn Retrograde: Al Baldah||Temperate; Middling.|
|Occidental Mercury in Capricorn: Al Na’am||Moist; Unfortunate.|
|The Moon in Cancer (waning and third quarter): Al-Dhira||Moist to Very Moist; Lucky.|
Looking at the Arabic Mansions, we see the predominance of the Moist to Very Moist suggesting the abundance of precipitation during the entire duration of the Capricorn ingress. It is noteworthy that 4 of the 7 classical planets are in unfortunate lunar mansions, suggesting that the weather or other events could be pestilential, especially for the populace. Mercury, the natural significator of the wind, is in an unfortunate lunar mansion potentially bringing pestilential storms.
Navigating the Waves, Torrents, & Eddies: The 2022 Aries Ingress
The Sun’s ingress in 0 degrees Aries is the astrological new year where we will start seeing new trends setting the precedent in the following months. In this section, we will also interpret the effects of the eclipses in Taurus and Scorpio, as this will set the trigger that will shape events in the following months. Figure 2 below shows the Libra Ingress chart. I set the chart in the Philippines’ capital, Manila (swipe right) and Washington, DC (swipe left).
The Global Interpretation of the Ingress
We attribute the condition of the people to the status of the Moon. The Moon is waning in the airy, cardinal, social, human, rational, and the vocal sign of Libra, void-of-course, and in the via combusta or the burnt path. Its domicile lord is Venus and is in the exaltation of Saturn. It searches for counsel to Saturn in the daytime as its triplicity ruler and to Mercury at nighttime. She is under Mars’ power by being on her term and Jupiter on his decan. With the Moon void-of-course, we will look first into the planets she has separated from and the planets she will apply to.
We see the Moon has separated from a trine with Mars, Venus, and Saturn, all in the airy, fixed, social, human, vocal, and rational sign of Aquarius. If we consider the outer planets, we see her recently separated from Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon’s trine with Mars has negative reception, suggesting unrest or violence among the populace. Alternatively, we could see strikes, protests, and rallies as it pertains to freedom and rights. Mars negatively receiving the Moon probably portends harm on the populace. In this airy sign, the harm could be from pestilential winds and earthquakes. Aquarius as a human sign suggests harm coming from man-made events such as rioting, crime, terrorism, and war.
After the aspect with Mars, the malevolent planets officially enclose the Moon. However, there is a brief relief because of the trine with a reception to Venus. It is noteworthy the malefics now enclose both the Moon and Venus. The Moon’s trine to Venus may mean the lessening of restrictions where the populace could probably enjoy some recreational activities. However, the besiegement of the Moon and Venus portends the people will still deal with social issues (especially as it pertains to human rights, women, and children) and foreign diplomatic concerns. Venus’ enclosure of Mars and Saturn suggests it will still be tough for the entertainment industry. We may also hear news regarding the demise of entertainment and sports figures.
Saturn and Pluto are the two planets the Moon has aspected to before going void-of-course. Once more, we see the Moon besieged.
We first look into the Moon’s aspect with Saturn and this had a reception. Saturn received the Moon in the sign of his exaltation. The application of the Moon to Saturn suggests restrictions, but the reception augurs it is not as oppressive. However, this relief is temporary. After Saturn, the Moon applied to Pluto, with the Moon negatively receiving. We should note that the Moon in the burnt path and besieged by the natural, traditional and modern significators of death augurs potential bodily harm to the populace. It could be an intense or hysteria-producing experience for the populace.
With the Moon at the very edge of Libra, we will consider her condition in Scorpio. Essential dignity-wise, the change of signs does not bode well for the populace because the Moon is in the sign of her fall, plus she is still on the burnt path. This could be a situation from bad to worst, where all throughout her stay in Scorpio, the Moon will experience an extremely tough enclosure. The Moon will square Mars and Venus in Aquarius, oppose Uranus in Taurus, trines Neptune in Pisces, square Saturn in Aquarius, and sextiles with Pluto in Capricorn. The Moon’s aspect of these planets translates to the concerns the populace will deal.
Our focus now is on Uranus in Taurus, where it collects the light of several planets. Uranus collects the light of Mars and Venus in Aquarius, Mercury in Pisces, and Saturn in Aquarius.
Mars in Aquarius will square Uranus in Taurus. The square has a negative reception because Uranus is in the sign of Mars’ detriment. This configuration augurs extreme volatility. In astrometeorology, it portends sudden and violent thunderstorms. In the northern hemisphere, we expect pestilential severe thunderstorms while there is above-average precipitation in the southern hemisphere. Saturn’s involvement suggests there could be swings between extremes in temperature and the force of winds. There is also an extreme risk of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other natural calamities. Mercury’s involvement could also drive potentially powerful ocean waves or create big ocean swells. Extremes in ocean tides are likely. Political tensions and escalating diplomatic disputes will be in the spotlight with the square of Venus in Aquarius.
Jupiter and Mercury are the planets to look at when we seek answers regarding the economy, trade, commerce, communications, and transportations. Mercury is in the sign of his fall and detriment in Pisces, and this could portend problems in trade, commerce, transportations, and communications. There could be disruptions in the shipping and fishing industry, with Mercury separating from Uranus and conjunct Jupiter, where his placement in Pisces could exacerbate the problem. The conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter with negative reception could inflate the price of commodities. In the areas of communication, the negative reception will bring about further confusion and deceit. With both planets in double-bodied signs and conjunct Neptune in Pisces, facts and figures get mixed up and distorted. There are always sides or angles to the story. While there could be problems in trade, commerce, communication, and transportation, Jupiter in his domicile could offer economic relief. Weather-wise, Mercury as the planet we associate with the wind, in a cold and wet sign conjunct Jupiter, also in a cold and wet sign could bring inundating precipitation coming as rain, snow, hail, and sleet.
Here, our attention will be on our leaders and we will seek this testimony from the Sun. The Sun is naturally powerful in Aries with him in the sign of his exaltation and triplicity, so leaders will do well in the duration the Aries ingress chart dictates. However, to determine how leaders will do, we will look into the planets the Sun closely aspects.
Mars and Saturn are the planets the Sun will apply to. In the airy, fixed, human, vocal, and social sign of Aquarius, Mars’ placement augurs social unrest. From this, it is not uncommon to see violent protests in the period covered by the Aries Ingress. With the Sun applying a sextile to Mars with negative reception, we expect the anger directed at authority figures to result in potential harm. Authority figures may encounter problems with law enforcement and the military.
Saturn is the next planet the Sun applies to after Mars. Aquarius, Saturn’s diurnal home is the sign of the Sun’s detriment, thus Saturnian significations will put in challenges and obstacles for the heads of state to deal. The Saturnian significations are issues concerning the elderly, the high national death rate, the COVID-19 pandemic, the probable devaluation of commercial real-estate, decongestion of cities, appreciation of agricultural and suburban lands, issues on food production through agriculture, mining of precious minerals, and other subterranean resources such as oil and coal. Saturn in Aquarius, the sign of the common person, and is in a superior position to the Sun, augurs troubles to the people in positions of power and wealth. These people may suffer from public disgrace as Saturn governs disappointments. Saturn also has rulership over state funerals and public sorrow, and thus, there may be news about the demise of people of prominence.
Saturn has power over Mars with him in Aquarius. The conjunction of Mars to Saturn in this air sign may augur troubles in the matters associated with communications, travel, and technology companies. The conjunction of the malefics in this air sign in the Aries Ingress does not bode well for the mainstream media and mainstream social media. It can also show disruptions in communication. Information truthfulness and freedom versus censorship will still be a thing during the period. Cybersecurity remains a concern. Regarding astrometeorology, the conjunction of Saturn and Mars portends forceful and potentially destructive winds.
The General Temperament of the Ingress
The table below shows the temperament of the Aries Ingress involving the seven classical planets in Astrology. It will give a rough estimate of the collective psyche and general impression of the climate for the period.
|Oriental Saturn in Aquarius||X||X||X||XX|
|Oriental Jupiter in Pisces||X||X||XXX|
|Oriental Mars in Aquarius||XX||X||XX|
|The Sun in Aries||XX||XX|
|Oriental Venus in Aquarius||X||X||X||XX|
|Oriental Mercury in Pisces||XX||XX||X|
|The Waning Moon in Libra (Third Quarter)||X||X||X||XX|
We see moist predominates with hot and dry coming close and this suggests that the people’s mood for the period can alternate between choleric and sanguine temperaments. This could be a volatile period, as people can be fun-loving one moment and feisty the next.
Upon the Sun’s ingress in Aries, we see a lot of air. The general impression of the climate we get for this period is windy. However, if we inspect, we see moisture once more predominates and this can cause inundating floods. The qualities of hot and dry on par with moist suggest that while there are parts of the globe inundated, there are also areas that may experience severe drought.
The lunar mansion of the planets determines the level of moisture and its fortunateness. We will see in the following table the Arabic Lunar Mansion containing the planets.
|Planet/Lunar Mansion in Arabic ||Moisture and Fortune |
|Oriental Saturn in Aquarius: Al Sa’d al Bula||Temperate; Middling|
|Oriental Jupiter in Pisces: Al Sa’d al Ahbiya||Dry; Middling|
|Oriental Mars in Aquarius: Al Sa’d al Dhabih||Very Moist; Lucky|
|The Sun in Aries: Al Fargh al Mukdin||Dry: Lucky|
|Oriental Venus in Aquarius: Al Sa’d al Bula||Temperate; Middling|
|Oriental Mercury in Pisces: Al Sa’d al Ahbiya||Dry; Middling|
|The Waning Moon in Libra (Third Quarter): Al Simak||Temperate-Moist: Middling|
The predominance of the Dry and Temperate mirrors the choleric and sanguine temperament. It is noteworthy that 5 of the 7 classical planets are in the middling lunar mansion, suggesting that the weather or other events bring mixed fortunes. On a side note, Mars, a hot and dry planet in a hot and moist sign, in a very moist lunar mansion, could mobilize the wind to create vapor. His square to Uranus, a naturally cold planet, could bring about sudden severe weather.
The Harbingers of Mixed Fortunes: The May 2022 Eclipse in the Taurus-Scorpio Axis
On May 1, 2022/April 30,2022, the first Solar Eclipse in Taurus will occur as part of the series of eclipses in the Taurus-Scorpio Axis. Figure 3 shows the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).
We will look into the luminaries and see that Venus in Pisces rules the Sun and Moon. It is noteworthy the Moon also has powerful rulership over the eclipse with her exalted in Taurus. Looking at the planet closest to the eclipse, we see the eclipsed luminaries committing their disposition by sextile to Mars. Mars is the key planet for this Solar Eclipse. Martial significations will be on the fore, such as anger, disputes (industrial, political, and diplomatic), conflicts, wars, terrorist attacks, and incidents related to fire and explosions. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, pestilential storms, and droughts. It is noteworthy that Mars negatively receives the exalted Moon and the Sun, suggesting there could be harm to the people of eminence from the martial significations listed. With Mars in a water sign, there could be challenging events related to water. Mars is in a double-bodied sign that portends treachery. While the eclipse could bring havoc, there could be a light at the end of the tunnel or it could elicit positive changes in the long run with Venus, the domicile ruler of the eclipse, in the sign of her exaltation and conjunct the greater fortune Jupiter, also in his domicile.
Please know that the effects of this eclipse will take place in the next 5 years, 1 month, and 2 weeks. We will probably feel the effects intensely from July 2023 to July 2025. It will probably end in the second week of February 2027.
A Total Lunar Eclipse in Taurus occurs on May 16, 2022. Figure 4 shows the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).
We again look into the essential dignity of the luminaries and see the Sun is peregrine in Taurus and the Moon in the sign of her fall in Scorpio. Next, we look into the Lord of the Luminaries. Venus, the ruler of the Sun, is in the sign of her detriment but in the domicile of Mars and the exaltation of the Sun. Mars, the ruler of the Moon, is in its nocturnal home of Jupiter and the exaltation of Venus. Jupiter is in generosity with Mars because Jupiter is in Mars’ domicile. The first impression we get from these mixed receptions is it may bring positive outcomes on matters signified by the Sun, Mars, and Jupiter at the expense of the Moon and Venus. With the Sun, Mars, and Jupiter empowered, we may see leaders mobilizing or perhaps strengthening law enforcement and/or the military. Venus’ condition could mean problems with peace and order. There could also be foreign diplomatic concerns that arise. The Moon in her fall and under Mars’ nocturnal domicile suggests the populace could be in for some restrictions with the active involvement of law enforcement and/or military personnel. This will be an uncomfortable period for the populace.
Our attention will now be on the closest planets to the Lunar Eclipse to judge which planet holds the key. In the chart, we see Mars and Neptune in Pisces and Saturn in Aquarius are the last three planets the Moon and the Sun have separated from and they are the key planets in this eclipse. The eclipse also has revelatory themes related to treachery and sedition with Mars and Neptune involved. With the planets in the water sign of Pisces, there could be events that arise related to water. With Saturn, we will probably see the re-implementation of restrictions and limitations. Please also see the other listed Saturnian significations in the General Interpretation of the Aries Ingress section as part of this eclipse’s effects. With Mars as the ruler of the eclipse and powerful, this eclipse can be severely disruptive.
According to timeanddate.com , the entire duration of the eclipse is 5 hours and 18 minutes. We now look at how long the effects of this eclipse last using Guido Bonatti’s method . Guido Bonatti states that every hour is equivalent to one month, while every two minutes is equal to one day. Here, we get 5 months and 9 days or 162 calendar days for the lastingness of this lunar eclipse’s effects. Now, we will identify the epicenter date where we will feel intensely the effects of the eclipse. The epicenter date is August 5, 2022, and when we consider 31 days prior to the midpoint and 30 days after, we get July 2022 to September 2022 as the months to look out for. The effects of this eclipse will probably end by October 25, 2022. However, August 2022 is the month to closely watch out for.
The 2022 Aries Ingress for the Philippines & for the USA
As we have seen earlier, the Philippines has Sagittarius Ascendant with the Sun’s Ingress in Aries, which means the chart is valid for the next 6 months only while the USA has Gemini Ascendant, which is also valid until September 2022. For quick reference, here are the Aries Ingress Charts of the Philippines and the USA.
The Concerns & the Well-being of the Populace
In interpreting the ingress chart, we begin by checking on the status of the people. To see how we as citizens of this country will do, we will look into two testimonies. The first testimony is the condition of the Moon, and its Lord is the natural significator, and the second one is the Ascendant and its Lord.
For the Philippines, we see the Moon in the Eleventh House suggesting the people’s attention is on the legislation and allies of the country. Saturn is the last of the classical planets the Moon separated from. Saturn ruling the Second House also shows their concern for the economy as it relates to their personal finance. With him as the Third House ruler, we see the people’s concern from restrictions to travel and the country’s relationship with its neighboring countries. There could also be issues with communications and transportations.
We also look at the Moon’s ruler, Venus, and Saturn. Venus is in Aquarius and in the Second House, where she is also applying conjunction to Saturn. It is noteworthy that the malefics enclose her, so we could see the despair among the populace regarding the status of the economy. There could also be shortages with the involvement of Saturn. Venus, as the ruler of the Eleventh House, suggests the attention of the legislative body is also on the economic status of the country and its relationship to its neighboring countries.
The Moon is in the burnt path and this suggests the populace is still not doing well under the context of the current pandemic and upcoming events. As mentioned earlier, there is potential harm with this placement. It is also could be a situation from bad to worst with the Moon entering the sign of her fall in Scorpio.
Mars and Venus will meet the Moon as she enters the sign. Although Mars receives the Moon, the populace could still be facing tough restrictions with Mars as the ruler of the Twelfth House. There could be alarming public health concerns with Venus, as the ruler of the Sixth House of illness, negatively receiving the Moon, which not only is the natural significator of the populace but also as the ruler of the Eighth House of public mortality. After this, there could be some relief health-wise, with the Moon’s trine to Mercury and Jupiter in Pisces. On a side note, peregrine Venus as the ruler of the Sixth House of illness and the malevolent planets besieging portends the containment of the disease. The Moon applying again to Saturn by square suggests the populace worrying about the economy and heavy restrictions with the movement of the populace. The Moon, as the ruler of the Eighth House square Saturn as the ruler of the Third House, suggests communications disruptions, a higher incidence of road and transportation accidents.
To judge the over-all well-being of the people, we check the Ascendant and its ruler. In the Philippines, Sagittarius is on the Ascendant cusp and we see its ruler Jupiter, at home in Pisces. The condition of Jupiter suggests a robust populace or the health of the people will become better at the period of the Aries ingress. His presence in the Fourth House shows the concerns of the populace are on agriculture, real estate, and homeland security issues, especially with the debilitated ruler of the Seventh House of the country’s open enemies, Mercury, conjunct Jupiter. Mercury naturally signifies the wind and his presence with Jupiter in the watery sign of Pisces in the Fourth House augurs the increased risk of natural calamities such as large earthquakes, inundating floods, and water-related disasters. Later, we will check the eclipses to confirm this.
Looking at the chart of the USA, we begin with the Moon and we see her in the Fifth House. The attention of the people could be on issues related to sex, children, and parenthood. Since the Fifth House also rules diplomacy, the populace may also contend with issues regarding the country’s foreign diplomatic relations. As mentioned earlier, Saturn is the last planet the Moon separated from and he rules the Eighth House and Ninth House. The populace could contend with issues related to national mortality, debts, and taxes. As the ruler of the Ninth House, there could still be issues about the trade deficit, travel restrictions, issues regarding education, and support the testimony regarding the country’s diplomatic relations.
Venus and Saturn are the Moon’s rulers – Venus is the Moon’s domicile ruler, while Saturn is her exaltation ruler. The placement of Venus on the Ninth House conjunct Saturn supports the aforementioned worries of the people.
Once more, the Moon on the burnt path is not favorable for the populace, as there is potential harm. The situation from bad to worst with the condition of the Moon as she enters Scorpio.
There could also escalate serious health concerns with the Moon’s essential dignity and with her square to Mars, the ruler of the Sixth House. Hard restrictions could follow suit with the Moon applying to Venus, as the ruler of the Twelfth House, with a negative reception. After this, there could be some relief health-wise, with the Moon’s trine to Mercury and Jupiter in Pisces. However, the Moon’s application to Saturn portends worries and dangers to the populace related to the Eighth House and Ninth House affairs listed earlier.
We now look at Mercury as the ruler of the Ascendant of the US Aries ingress chart. Mercury, in the sign of her fall and detriment in Pisces, is another testimony of the populace is still sick or experiencing public health concerns. There is confusion and division among the populace. In the Tenth House, the populace’s attention is on their leaders. Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter with negative reception suggests the losing popularity of the incumbent. Alternatively, certain policies could harm the populace with Jupiter, the accidental significator of the nation’s leaders, in the fall and detriment of Mercury. The populace is watching closely the enemies of the state. Issues related to agriculture and real estate will also be on the fore. Regarding the weather, Mercury and Jupiter in the Tenth House portend heavy precipitation. The presence of Mercury, the ruler of the Fourth House, in an angular house portends the elevated risks of water-related calamities. The angularity of the Fourth House ruler is one of the three testimonies we seek when judging for mega quakes and potentially devastating calamities.
For both countries, our focus will now shift in their economies and we judge it by looking at the ingress chart’s Second House and its Lord and Jupiter’s placement.
In the Philippines, we see Capricorn in the Second House. The cusp is conjunct to the fortunate fixed star Vega , and its presence helps stabilize the economy. Saturn rules the house and he is powerful in Aquarius. His presence in the Third House suggests the BPO and technology industries are the strongest sectors that could keep the economy afloat. However, Saturn’s cadence portends economic and/or currency weakness. We also see Mars and Venus in this house. Mars’ presence in the Second House could mean cash outflows. We could see spending on healthcare, the military, and law enforcement with Venus, as the ruler of the Sixth House translating Mars’ light to Saturn. There could be challenges in financial markets with Mars as the ruler of the Fifth House of speculation and Twelfth House of losses. Venus translating Mars’ light to Uranus by square portends volatility. Saturn, as the ruler of the country’s wealth and resources, could show shortages. Jupiter, the natural significator of the nation’s wealth and banking system, powerful in its domicile, could offer relief and/or stability. Although we still consider Jupiter as angular with its conjunction with the Fourth House cusp, it is falling away from the angle, adding a testimony of weakness. There could be disruptions in the banking system with the conjunction of debilitated Mercury to Jupiter with negative reception. We may hear news of banking scandals and/or technological concerns with the conjunction of Mercury and Jupiter with Neptune.
The USA Aries Ingress Chart shows Cancer is on the Second House cusp. It is conjunct the fixed star Castor which could spice things up economy-wise. The Moon is on the burnt path and will enter Scorpio, where she further suffers affliction with her fall. Mars and Venus are the planets she will meet by square upon entering the sign. The aspects the fallen Moon receives and applies to suggest serious economic challenges and weakness of the currency. Mars, Venus, and Saturn in the Ninth House of Foreign trade and relations signify strains and widening of the trade deficit. It also shows the volatility in financial markets with Mars, ruler of the Fifth House and Twelfth House in the Second House square, Uranus in Taurus. We now check on the condition of Jupiter, the natural significator of the nation’s wealth and banks. Jupiter in the Tenth House suggests the government may have access to cash. It could also mean that the institution could set policies to mitigate the economic challenges. Perhaps the government will regulate banks. However, Jupiter’s conjunction with Neptune suggests these policies could be unrealistic or unattainable. Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter with negative reception portends it could be unfavorable for the populace. Prices of consumer goods remain inflated. Banking scandals will be out in the open for everyone to see. Service disruptions could be a concern.
The Tenth and Eleventh House are the houses to assess should we like to know how our leaders do. For heads of the state, we also check into the condition of the Sun as the natural significator.
In the Philippines, Mercury is the Lord of the Tenth House, while Venus is the Lord of the Eleventh House. In Pisces, Mercury suffers affliction as it is in fall and detriment. With Mercury in the Fourth House, the government and its agencies will deal with issues related to agriculture, real estate, natural calamities, and homeland security. Mercury conjunct Jupiter suggests they will also deal with the concerns and issues of the populace and the economy. The lack of dignity in Pisces and its negative reception with Jupiter suggests the government’s massive challenges in dealing with the aforementioned concerns. With Jupiter as the Lord of the Year, the situation of the populace and the homeland will be on the fore.
The other significator of the leaders (in particular, the legislative branch) in the ingress chart is Venus. Venus is in Aquarius where the malefics enclose her. Concerns about the economy and human rights will also be on the fore. However, Mars, Uranus, and Saturn besieging Venus could bring challenges in resolving the issues with Venus cannot act accordingly as it literally trapped her.
With the Sun as the natural significator of the head of state, we see it angular in the Fourth House. It is also noteworthy the Sun rules the Ninth House of foreign relations. The government’s focus is on foreign and diplomatic relations with other countries under the context of homeland security and welfare. Mars and Saturn enclose the Sun. Troubles with diplomatic relations and the hidden enemies of the state will be on the fore with the sextile of the Sun to Mars with a negative reception. Saturn rules the economy, transportations, communications, and the relationship with neighboring countries, so the government could contend with listed significations. Venus has separated from the Sun by sextile with a mutual negative reception where the Sun is in the sign of Venus’ detriment, while Venus is in the sign of the Sun’s detriment. Venus ruling the Sixth House portended challenges in dealing with concerns on public health. As the ruler of the Eleventh House, there could be issues and/or disputes between the head of state and the legislation related to the economy or the finances of the country. The forecast of the Philippine General Election will be in a separate article.
Looking at the USA’s Aries Ingress Chart, we see Pisces on the Tenth House and Aries on the Eleventh House cusp. Jupiter rules the Tenth House while Mars rules the Eleventh House. The Tenth House cusp is with the unfortunate fixed star Sadalmelik where it augurs extreme and sudden destruction, persecution, and lawsuits. Jupiter, essentially and accidentally dignified in the Tenth House, portends the capacity of the government to act. However, we see Mercury conjunct, Jupiter, with negative reception, and this augurs issues in governance, the populace, the opposition, and homeland security. There could be significant government scandals that will be out in the open with Mercury and Jupiter conjunct Neptune.
Our attention will now be on Mars. Mars is peregrine in Aquarius and we see him in the Ninth House. The government could also deal with disputes with foreign countries involving the military, where the situation could turn volatile with the square to Uranus in Taurus, with a negative reception. Mars and Saturn in the Ninth House portend laws restricting foreign travels and the mobilization of the law enforcement personnel and the military. The Sun, as the ruler of the Third House applying to Mars with negative reception, portends problems with neighboring countries. We can also see a higher incidence of communication disruptions and road and transportation accidents.
With the Sun as the natural significator of the head of the state, we see it is applying a sextile to Saturn and Mars in Aquarius. Although these are positive aspects, the malefics enclose the Sun. Among the two planets, it is Saturn that is harmful, as Mars receives the Sun in its domicile and the Sun is in a superior position to it. Aquarius is the sign of the Sun’s detriment, thus it will present challenges and blocks to the objectives of the Sun. Saturn, in a superior position, has power over the Sun. However, we also see the Sun in Aries, the sign of Saturn’s fall, thus it will also hurl its harmful rays to Saturn. Parties involved in the disputes will harm each other effectively. With both planets in their powerful dignities, there will be a power tug-of-war, neither parties surrendering. Mars ruling the Sixth House and the Sun ruling the Eighth House in a negative reception with the Sun portends the leaders, having to deal with alarming public health concerns and the country’s debts. With Saturn as the ruler of the Ninth House, its relations with other countries.
The Effects of the April-May 2022 Eclipses
In this section, we will see the effects of the eclipses for each country and for us to get a better picture, we will cast a Bi-wheel chart of the eclipses superimposed on the Aries Ingress charts. Figure 5 shows the Bi-wheel chart where the Inner Chart is the Aries Ingress and the Outer Chart is Solar Eclipse in Taurus chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).
We start with the Philippines and first look into the Ascendant of the Eclipse. The Ascendant of the Eclipse is in the Aries, and as per Guido Bonatti, the effects of the eclipse are on livestock such as sheep, goats, and small animals . With the effects on livestock, the Philippines may encounter challenges in food production, in particular the meat industry. Upon further inspection, we see Mars, the Lord of the Ascendant of the Eclipse, in Pisces, suggesting the effects are on the aquatic produce. There could arise water-related events. Mars conjunct Mercury in Pisces in the Third House of the Aries Ingress Chart augurs disputes with neighboring countries related to fishing. We also see that the eclipse squares Mars in Aquarius and conjunct Uranus in Taurus of the Aries ingress chart. The eclipse in the Fifth House of the Aries ingress chart, the Ascendant of the eclipse, and the position of its ruler in the Fourth House; and the aspect of the eclipsed luminaries to Mars and Uranus portends diplomatic troubles involving our seas and homeland security concerns. Albeit the unfortunate events, the solar eclipse could bring about positive outcomes for the populace and homeland concerns, as we see its ruler, Venus, exalted in Pisces conjunct Jupiter, who is also in his domicile. However, this eclipse will augur the second factor concerning mega quakes and destructive natural calamities with the ruler of the Fourth House of the eclipse chart in the Ascendant of the eclipse chart. With the eclipsed luminaries configured to Mars and Uranus, there is a risk for the eruption or heightened activity of volcanoes.
Looking into the USA’s eclipse chart, we see Virgo Rising. With Virgo as an earthy, barren, human, social, vocal, but domesticated sign, as per Guido Bonatti, the effects of the eclipse are in the populace and partially with agriculture . Mercury is the ruler of this eclipse and we see him as powerful by essential dignity but cadent in the Twelfth House of the Aries ingress chart. What this means for the populace is there could still be restrictions, especially on travels, with the sextile to the Sun of the Aries ingress chart. We see the eclipse taking place in the Eleventh House of the Aries Ingress chart, suggesting concerns with the allies and/or friends of the country. The eclipse squares Mars in Aquarius and conjunct Uranus in Taurus of the ingress chart, suggesting volatile foreign diplomatic disputes that could involve military activity. However, the solar eclipse could bring about positive changes for the government, as we see its ruler, Venus, exalted in Pisces conjunct Jupiter, who is also in his domicile all in the Tenth House. As discussed from the previous blog predicting earthquakes through the ingress and eclipse, whenever we see the Lord of the Fourth House of the applicable ingress in the angle, the lunar eclipse chart’s Lord of the Fourth in the angles or involved in the eclipse and the solar eclipse chart’s Lord of the Fourth House in the angle or involved in the eclipse. Here, we see Jupiter, the ruler of the Fourth House, conjunct the Seventh House cusp, portending the second factor we seek for mega-quakes and severe natural calamities.
Figure 6 shows the Bi-wheel chart where the Inner Chart is the Aries Ingress and Outer Chart is the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio chart set in Manila, Philippines (swipe right) and Washington, D.C., USA (swipe left).
The Philippines: The Ascendant of the Eclipse is in Leo conjunct, the fixed star Regulus which brings mixed fortunes. While Guido Bonatti did not elaborate on the eclipse with Leo as the Ascendant, my guess was to consider the nature of the sign and of its ruler. Leo is a bestial, barren, fiery, and fixed sign. Its ruler, the Sun, is the natural significator of kings, rulers, and the eminent. The Philippines may encounter challenges related to violence, extreme weather, fire, and fire-related incidents. It also puts the spotlight on the leaders, where the Moon opposes the Sun. The Sun is conjunct the malevolent fixed star Algol which could bring serious challenges to the country. In both the Aries ingress chart and the lunar eclipse chart, we see the Sun in the Ninth House, where it shows the attention of our government is on foreign affairs. The Ascendant of the lunar eclipse when we overlap it with the Aries ingress chart is on the Ninth House, so it is another testimony that the focus is on international relations in the next few months. When we look into the lunar eclipse chart alone, the government could face a dilemma regarding diplomacy, as we see the Sun square Saturn in the Seventh House and the Moon translating the light from Mars to the Sun by opposition.
The eclipse will be in the Third House of the lunar eclipse chart, suggesting communication and transportation problems for both local and foreign. It is another testimony portending diplomatic troubles among nations are brewing overseas, especially with our neighboring countries.
Mars is the ruler of the lunar eclipse. We see him conjunct the Fourth House of the Aries ingress chart with Neptune auguring potentially devastating natural disasters and issues on homeland security. The presence of Jupiter, the ruler of the Fourth House of the eclipse, conjunct the Eighth House cusp and entering the angular Seventh House could complete the third factor when judging for mega-quakes and extreme natural calamities. It is imperative for the populace to be on high alert in the following months.
The USA: Looking into the lunar eclipse in Scorpio chart, we see Capricorn rising. The effect of the eclipse will be on livestock, with Capricorn as an earthy, cardinal, and domesticated sign. With the Ascendant of the eclipse in the Eighth House of the Aries ingress chart, the attention is on the country’s debts and taxes. Its ruler, Saturn, is in the Ninth House of the ingress chart, suggesting the country’s challenges in international relations. Another testimony of foreign diplomatic concerns is the Sun, the ruler of the Third House, and Saturn, the ruler of the Ninth House, besieging the Moon. We see the eclipse taking place in the Sixth House of the Aries ingress chart, suggesting concerns about the situation of the pandemic. It could also mean the mobilization of the military services, especially with the Moon translating the light of Mars to the Sun.
We see the ruler of the eclipse, Mars, in the Tenth House of the Aries ingress chart. He is in a generosity with Jupiter, as they are in each other’s domicile without the aspect when we consider the eclipse chart. The presence of the eclipse Mars and eclipse Jupiter in the Tenth House of the ingress chart augurs the military could play an important role in governance. Perhaps their presence and/or activity is prominent for everyone to see.
Here, we will now check for the last of the mega-quake and extreme calamity factor, so our attention is on the eclipse chart alone. Taurus is on the Fourth House cusp, so its rulers are Venus and the Moon. We see Venus in detriment in Aries, and cadent in the Third House. However, Taurus’ exaltation ruler, the Moon, is in the angular Midheaven and involved in the eclipse. When we consider the Moon, the lunar eclipse completes the triad of testimonies we seek for mega-quakes and extreme calamities.
Earthquakes, Other Natural Disasters, & Astrocartography
This segment will show the Astrocartography of the Eclipses, which shows the places all over the world at high risk for earthquakes or perhaps natural disasters. Here, we will look into the eclipse lines, the lines of Mars as the traditional ruler of quakes, Uranus as the quake’s modern significator, and Jupiter as the indicator of powerful earthquakes. Figure 7 shows the Astrocartography of the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (swipe right) and Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius (swipe left).
